I am thinking about joining this cruise. It would be my son 13 turning 14 during the cruise. Is anyone's tween/teen interested in participating in a kids thread so they can get to know each other?

Oh it's not me!! This is the cruise I wanted to do from the start. He is a little more shy and his sister has a Kids only cruise thread for her cruise going strong. I take my kids on individual trips even years.

Nico tried to start a thread with some kids on a Jan cruise, but got discouraged when no one responded. I think he would go on a cruise if he was able to get to know kids.

Does anyone know if there is an opportunity at any of the ports to swim with dolphins?

And BTW - thank you for being so welcoming!! I really appreciate it

Tell Nico not to give up yet. It's still very early for teens to be thinking about this cruise. I bet Nico will find lots of friends as this cruise gets closer.

I know that you can swim with turtles in Barbados so I'm thinking that on one of the islands you should be able to swim with dolphins.

You are so welcome! All the DISers that I have met along the way are very welcoming and fun and friendly. That makes the cruise even more special.

Hey everyone! We just got back from ten wonderful adventure filled days in Hawaii, mostly spent at Aulani. We planned for it to be half there and half at a rental house but things didn't go great so we left the rental house and went back to Aulani. We did a villa first then standard room the second time.

We are going to join this amazing group of people. It's just Nico and myself on this cruise. We have never been to any of these countries and looking forward to exploring and learning about these fascinating places.

Hopefully, we will be swimming with the sea turtles and then hopefully dolphins.

I went for the first time with DCL last year. Everything good that I have always heard about Hawaii just didn't do it any justice. It was so much better than I dreamed it to be. I would go back in a heartbeat.

We passed right by Aulani on our way to the Paradise Cove luau. It was magnificent. But my favorite island was Kauai.

YAY!!! That's excellent news. I would check the DCL site for ports that they have listed. Maybe there's some information on the ones where we are going. I need to check it.

Agree with all of the above. Our first time there also on the cruise. Nice to get to see a bit of 4 islands. More than met my expectations everywhere we were and yep, Kauai was our favorite. We would love to go back and spend some time there.

Thank you very much! I am trying to find something, but so far, no luck. Maybe I will just have to take him on a little cruise before this one. I kind of talked him into it because the Halloween cruise on the Fantasy Oct 26 appealed to him a little more.

Hopefully we can get the kids chatting and in the meantime, I will keep looking for the dolphins
