Magical Moments Gifts?

I have a question for those of you who are more experienced than I am. On our four-day cruise last week, we received THREE magical moments gifts from the cruise line:

When we returned from Nassau we had a plate of brownies, chocolate covered strawberries, and other sweets -- the note was from "your housekeeping staff".

When we returned from Castaway Cay we had a small fruit basket from "your inroom dining staff".

On the at-sea day we received a cheese platter again from "your inroom dining staff".

Here's my question: Does everyone receive these? Do first time cruisers receive these? Or were we just lucky? I had not heard other people mention them on the boards, so I was rather surprised.

We've been on four cruises and never received any gifts like those, so I don't know how or why you get them. Maybe it is the category of cabin you are in?
Someone else might know?

I hadn't even considered category of cabin, but it doesn't make sense in our case. We paid for a category 11 GTY, and we were upgraded to a category 9 (so we were a loooong way from concierge, if that's what you were thinking!). We were far forward on deck 2.

Hmmm . . . maybe we really were special? I do seem to have extraordinary luck on vacations. I always get the upgraded room, the best views, the best tables, etc. Not that this extends to my "regular life" -- it's just on vacations.

hm, I did hear mention one time of someone being chosen the "family of the week" and they received all kind of extras of the type that you are saying that you received.
But you think they would have told you if you had been chosen for that, wouldn't they.
We always pay for cat 11, 1st time got upgraded to cat 8, 2nd time upgraded to cat 10, last 2 times no upgrade, going in Jan again, who knows, maybe?

I would guess it was just a magical moment type of thing. Disney likes to sprinkle pixie dust to random people, because EVERYONE is special, that's what makes Disney, Disney...

We were picked as family of the week on our 3 night cruise in August, we received the same chocolate covered strawberries, brownies, and cookies, on the last night there was also a nice note as well as a picture. It was also our anniversary, and got a nice note but no cake in the dining room, which was fine, there was more than enough to eat......
I am not sure how we got picked, but my girls loved it, we were in a CAT 10 room......
Of course, you can call room service and get all of those treats delivered to you, well nearly all not the strwberries
