Magical Grand Gathering Trip with Pics. Completed

Your are not a bad parent...it is just tough sometimes deciding what the best plan of action should be. You sound like a terrific mom! By the way, I love the pics...Kaylee looks so cute in her Alice dress!

Huge bummer about the weather:sad2: Sorry your friend couldn't be more understanding about Thomas and his health jeez!:rolleyes1 That was great that the cm's at guest services allowed you to come back the next night! The kids look cute in their costumes!:thumbsup2

I think the rain is planned around these party dates! Every single one we've ever been to ~ RAIN! So I've decided to pass on the party this trip. Good news for those of you planning to go that week! :goodvibes Maybe if I skip it you'll get nice weather.

If you are ever in Disney and really want to eat somewhere go to the place and many times they will work you in. Rarely will a phone call do it but in person....the chances are good. We've never had a problem. We've done this quite a few times.

I have never tried to get a walk up ressie at a restaurant. Thanks, I might try it next trip :goodvibes . I have never seen rain like this, it was a monsoon  . Sara said they had tornado watches that night too :scared1: . Usually we luck out with weather though.

DAY 7: MNSSHP Take Two

The kids woke up before the Mickey wake up call. I didn't plan on making any rope drops this morning because we were supposed to sleep in after MNSSHp and then got to TL when we woke up. Tommy and I decided we really didn't feel like going to TL today. We would rather use another park day on NE passes. But which park?? I called DF and told her we wouldn't be making it to TL today since we had to move our entire schedule around for lunch & MNSSHP. Then I made a call to the dining line and they still had nothing at Epcot for lunch or anything in the MK area for dinner :headache: . Whispering canyon had and opening for lunch at 12:30 so I took it.

I really wanted to go back to Epcot for a few hours since we didn't spend hardly anytime there this trip. The kids wanted to go back to HS and ride TSM again. I compromised and we went to HS. I figured we would stop by Sci Fi and see if we could get in there for lunch and then I would cancel WCC.

We took the bus today and one came right away. We were at HS before 8:30 AM, I really didn't want to do another rope drop and fight the crowds. But since we were there and in front of the line we would do our same plan with TSM again. We knew we only had 3 hours in the park at the most. A shame to waste a hopper ticket for 3 hours but oh well. We watch the boring opening show again :rolleyes1 and walked quickly to TSM. I waited for Tom to get our FP's and then we got in line together. I really wanted to see the queue so didn't mind a few minutes wait.

Happy kids ready to ride TSM!!

This is the funniest ride ever! Our next stop was RNRC, we figured we would do a Baby swap. Kaylee really wanted to try it! So we got the baby swap and her and Tom rode together first. Thomas and I waited outside. Of course he had the worst meltdown ever because his dad left to go on a ride without him. He was was literally jumoning out of the stroller and pushing it backwards crying hysterically :sad2: . I was getting a little aggravated with him at this point and at my wits end. I told him if he didn't stop scream, yelling and pushing the stroller I was going to spank his but. Of course I would never do that but wanted him to behave and there was really no where to put him for a time out. So we walked into the noisy, ugly RNRC gift shop with him still crying. I showed him the pressed penny machine and he wanted to make some of those. He still had tears coming down his face when a CM came over to talk to him. He was a very nice guy and even gave Thomas change to make another penny when he was done. Thomas was not very talkative but did say "thank you" at least. This turned out to be a good distraction but it was so loud in that giftshop and they were taking forever to come out from this ride. It said 10 minutes up front but it had been 25 minutes by now.

We walked over to where they get off the ride where the photos are. I saw Kaylee and Tom getting off the ride. I wanted to take a picture of her big smile because she absolutely loved RNRC and it was her new favorite ride! I told Tom had much fun  we had while they were on line. So Tom asked Thomas if he wanted to go see Mickey again, and of course he said yes! They went to do that while Kaylee and rode RNRC.

With the FP we waited about 10 minutes this time. Kaylee had a blast and our picture was quite funny. I didn't have the camera with me to take a ride photo. Thomas was thrilled to see Mickey again! There wasn't a photo pass CM there this morning. They also had to do the Walle photo op again too.

Thomas took his daddy's picture.

DisneyOctober08594.jpg

We met up in front of TSM to ride again with our FP's. The kids rode together and Tom and I rode together. Of course I still didn't win. Then Thomas wanted to go to HISTK playground since he loves it there. It was a little quiter there today since it was early. While I stayed at the play area Tom went to see if we could get into Sci-Fi for lunch. It was only 11:00 am so I though for sure they would something :confused3 but when he called me on the cell they had the tables only available for lunch and dinner and not a car. I could just imagine the meltdown when we don't get to sit in a car so we passed on that. Make that number 20 on the next time list.

The kids played for about 30 minutes more.

Then it was time to leave for lunch at WCC. Kaylee tried to talk us into coming back to HS again on our trip because she wanted to ride RNRC again. I told on our first day at HS to try because I was sure she would love it. She is looking forward to riding it again next time. On the way out we saw this park band and I have say they sounded good to me. No time to watch though as we needed to get to WL.

DisneyOctober08595.jpg

We waited only 10 minutes for a bus and then we were on our way. I was looking forward to going to WL and letting Thomas see the geyser. He has never stayed here with us because we stayed here on Kaylee's first two trips to Disney before Thomas was born. With Thomas being 2 on his first trip the Poly and on the monorail was easier for us. It was one that I had booked though for this trip before switching to CBR.

We were early for our ADR so we walked around the lobby for a little bit. Thomas asked if we could stay just for 1 night before going back to CBR. CBR seems to be his favorite for now, I'm sure he doesn't care where we stay though. Kaylee will always want to be at Poly I'm afraid.

Continued in next post......

DAY 7 continued...

We checked into Whispering canyon and had a few minutes before we were seated. The kids played with lincoln logs. Of course we had some issues with bratty kids snatching logs right out of both of my kids hands. Why is it people don't teach their kids not to grab toys out of another kids hands. It's rude, unless your a little kids like 2 who deosn't know any better. Wasn't the case though, these ones were about 6 and 9 :rolleyes1 .

We were called for our table and we got the same waitress we had in 2006. She is very funny but Kaylee was kind of scared of her last time as she put straws in her hair :lmao: . She did remember us though. These are from 2006 the last time we were here for dinner at WCC and visited WL.

Our lunch was really good, one of the best of the trip. Tom and I ordered the Skillet and Kaylee and Thomas had Mac N Cheese. They both picked off our skillet though a bit. We had fun which was a change from the last couple of days :) . Thomas finally seemed to have his appetite back too and smiled the whole rest of the trip until the drive anyway :rolleyes1 .

We had a good time at lunch and the food was great too. It will probably be on our next trip list, definately if we stay at WL. After lunch we went outside to see the Geyser with just 5 minutes to wait. It started to rain a little while we waited. Thomas loved the Geyser.

Then we went to catch the boat that was going to MK as it was just about to leave. It was a relaxing ride. When we got to MK we waited for the next bus back to CBR. We needed to rest up when we got back and then get ready for MNSSHP again! When we got back to our room this was in our window.

Love the Whispering Canyon. That is on our most do list each time we go. They have the most delicious mac and cheese ever.

Great update! WCC looks great, now I need to add that to my "next trip" must do! :) Glad Thomas was feeling better and having fun!!

WCC looks so great! I can't wait to go there next year!!

This is looking like a fun day so far! :thumbsup2 Thomas did a great job taking the pic of his dad. You go boy! :goodvibes I love the fork and pony pics too. The kids look so tickled. The one time we ate there the waiter we sort of knew. He was from here so he didn't go all out and have fun with us. He did offer us free tix for Sea World (his other job) but we couldn't go. DS would love that Chocolate Cheesecake!

One of these days I want to get to WCC. It's definitely on our "next time" list. So sorry about the MNSSHP disaster, but as least you got to try again. Hope that went better. So glad that Thomas was feeling better and it seems that you made the most of things and still had fun.

Sounds like fun! We are eating at the WCC for the first time on our trip...I can't wait! Is the mac and cheese on the kids menu? I think I may want to try that...

 Figures you got a waiter you know. They must have made it harder to do all the usual antics. Too bad you couldn't fit in Sea World. I love it there! The food was really good.

Definately put WCC on your next trip list. Thomas was doing so much this day :worship: , thank goodness for that. Anyway, I hope you and girls have and awesome trip without kids :dance3:  :dance3: and husbands :cool1: . Looking forward to reading all about it when you get back. Have a drink for me in World Showcase ;) .

You will love WCC. yes the mac and cheese is on the kids menu. they are very accomodating though so maybe you could order whatever you want as a side.

Great update. We loved Whispering Canyon on our last visit and cant wait to go back again. Can't wait to hear if you managed to do MNSSHP the second time.

MNSSHP was great! I hope to update tomorrow or Saturday.

And I hate to say it, but I think Thomas is clearly a better photographer than his Dad - LOL!:rotfl:
