Magical Grand Gathering Trip with Pics. Completed

You should absolutely go back and get it!!!!!!!
Return that Sally shirt. Think of how fun it will be with Kaylee. Plus it will inject a little kernel of negativity into the party if you have any regrets and you don't want to spend the evening with even a little part of you being annoyed at Tom. You look super cute!
Just my two cents.

Thanks  . The only plus with the Sally shirt is that it will be much more comfortable to wear to MK in the heat and humidity with us staying lat into the night, KWIM. I won't let it ruin my evening because I'm there to have fun with my kids and my friends. It's so typical of him and unfortunately i'm used to it :guilty: .

I do think you look very cute in the Tink costume. Especially if you do your hair in the updo that Tink has. :) I don't think you'll be feeling icky-sweaty in it - the evenings there in general are a lot less humid than the days (positive thinking for you!). Go to the Disney Store and buy it back! ;)

My DH is "Mr. Contrary" when it comes to everything Disney, so I can totally relate to you. I suggest doing what makes you and the kids happy. Ignore the negativity. That's what I'd do. Wear the costume, make him feel silly when your beautiful MNSSHP photos come out and he sticks out like a sore thumb in his plain ole t-shirt ;)

Hey Nichole - you look adorable in the Tink costume! I think you should buy it back too! Kaylee will remember that for a long time - she will have the cool mom who dressed up! :goodvibes

Go to Party City and get another costume!! First, you look really cute in the Tink costume that you posted! Wish you posted it before you took it back so we could've talked you into wearing it! Second, there are so many people dressed up at MNSSHP that you'll have so much fun and fit right in if you dress up!

Here's a tip for your DH- My DH was NOT going to dress up. The night before we left I found a Ghostbusters costume at Target and it came with a blow-up backback/gun thing that they had. I thought it was so cool and knew DH would too. I somehow got him to put it on at the Poly before we went into the MK. He was all mad cause it looked like just the kids were dressed up but he got soooo many comments on that Ghostbusters costume! Everywhere where we went people were humming the ghostbusters song and some people were taking his picture! It was too funny. At the HM Madame Leona (what's ger name?) was outside and even she looked over and said "Oh great, someone invited the Ghostbusters!" It was too funny!

So go buy your DH a costume and have the kids pressure him into wearing it!

Nichole, you look adorable as Tink! You should reconsider...:thumbsup2

I like the idea of just getting something for Tom without telling him, and bringing it down there...just in case! I'm gonna bring an eye patch and a bandana and some pirate tattoos for Shawn, just in case...I bet when he gets there and especially with a little pressure from his kids, he will cave. Hey...eye patch and bandana for Tom! Then he will be a pirate (even if it is a generic one) along with his little guy! :confused3

Nichole, you look so cute in that! I agree go see if you can buy it back. We are our own worst critics. I think its cute! What great pics you will have if you get it back!

:lmao: That happens whe nwe all remember to pack our matching Tshirts and he accidently forgets his :rolleyes1 and then picks look bad. If I wore the Tink costume I was going to put my hair up in a big bun like Tink. maybe I will go to party City and see I can find a costume.

It's funny but she was very excited to have me dress up with her and she also been begging her dad to be Mad hatter :sad2: . I guess he is not a fun guy ;)

That is a funny story, thanks for sharing. Glad your DH came around. Mine is just a party pooper. I think I might be going to party city today or tomorrow, well see because I haven't got much done with my check list. Maybe I should look at a mad hatter costume for him. I did buy him a Jack shirt when I bought mine.

Thanks Sara. That is a good idea :thumbsup2 Thomas would love him to dress up. Thomas knows I took the costume back and he told me to go get it back because I look funny :lmao: . Well at least he didn't say big and green :rolleyes1 . Did you happen to see the Tink that is going to be in the park yet. there are pics on the theme parks thread. Her costume is very small and tight, no Tutu or anything poofy. But mind you she is very tiny and the costume is very short.. If it were about 4 inches longer then I would like something like that better.

Nichole, you look so cute in that! I agree go see if you can buy it back. We are our own worst critics. I think its cute! What great pics you will have if you get it back!

Thanks. I guess I thought it was kind of poofy and itchy. Then Tom saying you look so big and green. Now I will fell uncomfortable in it. I might try to squeeze in a run to party City today.

OMG you looked so cute at Tinkerbell!! You should totally have kept the costume!!

Hey Nichole!

I've been slacking and not posting, but I am all caught up on your pre-trippie! Only 4 days - I know you cant wait!!!

Love Thomas' costume - he'd adorable. You looked cute in Tink too - but I think Tom's reaction would have sent me back to the store too :)

Thanks Cathy. Good to know I'm not the only one who would've returned the costume. Not worth feeling uncomfortable, though Dh is such a grumpy. yes we are very excited. We are staying at your last resort, CBR.

Just finished reading your trip report, can't wait to hear about your trip! I am planning a Grand Gathering for 10 next Oct. ! I can't to hear about the Safari dinner. I think the Tinker Bell Costume was adorable. We went to MNSSP in 2006 with our Grand Gathering Group (3 men 3 women and 3 children) and the adults all wore camo shirts and bandanna with Survivor WDW 2006 written on them (We are huge Survivor Fans). It took a lot of convincing on the women's part :worship: but the men finally came around and wore the bandannas. My brother in law even put on black makeup for the jungle theme! These are my favorite pictures in WDW with our Grand Gathering Group, I hope your memories are just as great on this trip!

Thanks for reading! The survivor theme is funny. At least you convinced the guys to dress up :thumbsup2 . Even the girls in our GG party don't want to dress up, well one is pregnant so I can certainly understand. I guess they think it's too much with little ones. I will take lots of pics of the Safari Dinner for you :) .

Just checking in to see the progress on that to do list! You must be getting excited! :cool1:
Hi Michelle. Yes the kids and I are very excited. thomas has been a little monster this week for some reason. I think one of the other boys in his class are rubbing off on him :headache: . he just says "no to everything I say and talks back and argues over ever little silly thing. If you sya the sky is blue Hell scream that it's red, KWIM. Today he wanted to play outside and had a meltdown because I said no it's raining and I have to make dinner. I'm hoping he is on his best behavior at Disney. I don't want to be one of those non Disney like mom's yelling at her kid that is being bratty  . I'm slowly getting the list done.
