Has anyone made use of the Magical Gatherings promo? We're going in October, 8 family members, any info would be helpful, thanks in advance.

We're doing a Grand Gathering Wishes fireworks cruise. It's $29.99 per person. It leaves from the Contemporary and we will be met by Captain Hook and Mr. Smee. There will be desserts and cookies served on board and I think Peter Pan will meet us as we disembark. I'm really excited about this! It's happening in July, so I'll post a full report when I come home.

I was able to go on the BreakFast Gathering at Tony's Town Square. It was a lot of fun, and the food was wonderful, especially the "italian toast". I got to meet Tony, and had a bit of time with Mickey too! We had FUN!

We've booked a magical gathering for this August. We booked it back in January and we STILL haven't received a confirmation or anything at all from Disney in the mail. We've called them FOUR times to request our confirmation and we always hear the same thing, that they'll re-issue our confirmation and will receive it shortly. Our most recent request was made last weekend so I sure hope it comes or I'll have to get tough. We're planning a few good meals (Hoop Dee Doo, character breakfast, etc...) and myway parkhopping tickets for the whole trip while staying onsite. We figure we can't afford to add the extras like fireworks cruise so we're thinking the magical gathering is basically useless for us. :confused3

We did the Safari Celebration in Dec 03 and loved it. We plan on doing it again this dec. We're also trying the fireworks cruise and the tony's breakfast. The safari celebration was good b/c of the guides. They take a lot of time going through the safari and talking about the animals. It was great. He answered my 4 yo nieces 101 questions too. I was worried about the food but everything was really good. My niece and nephew loved the fact we got up front for the parade without having to sit there for an hour before hand.

We did the fireworks and Tony's last year, both are great! It was the best way to watch the fireworks and the water parade. The Italian Toast was absolutely awesome and I don't like french toast.

We did the Magical Fireworks Voyage and the Safari Dinner in Feb. Both were great. We had a group of 32 on the fireworks cruise and everyone said they would do it again in a heartbeat. We had 14 at the Safari Dinner and even the pickiest eater enjoyed the food!
