Can those of us staying DVC take advantage of any Grand/Magical Gatherings activities. There are 9 of us going down in February and we're in early planning stages so I thought I would ask before book our restaurants.
Is there anything you can recommend we try. . . :confused3
TIA!

I was wondering the same thing. Hoping to get a family gathering together for 2007 or 2008. I want to see all the nieces and nephews enjoy the Magic but I don't want to be alone with them

Absolutely you can do a grand or magical gathering (I believe magical is 8 or more and grand is 15 or more). We are on our second grand gathering this Oct. You get your number when you book your rooms.

I didn't do the breakfast at Tonys but have done the Illuminations Dinner and the Safari dinner. Both were excellent. We are re-doing the Wishes cruise since we had so much fun.

Are these extras expensive? Do we book through MS or ?

They are extra. I believe the magical gathering page on Disney's website gives the prices. I vaguely remember the Illuminatins dinner to be around $65 for adults and I believe the Fireworks cruise is about $40.

You need to call Magical gatherings directly for any of the events - 407-WDW-MAGIC

Thanks for all your help!!
For those of you listening in - call MS first and set up your Grand Gathering # - this takes a few days. You can have them email your intinerary with all the info. Then call 407 WDW MAGIC to book your outings.

We did the grand gathering in Nov. 04 and we were 8 of us... we did the breakfast at Tony's and it was really fun... the food was great... you get to have a private time with Mickey behind some closed curtains and then an other family was brought in and we left through an other set of curtains, only to find Cinderella there waiting for us, what a surprise... we also did the Illumination diner and they bring you out at the end of diner to a special viewing place for Illumination, what a great place to view the fireworks and the desert were to die for UMMMM! and last we did the fireworks cruise, it was nice to see Captain Hook and Mr. Smee and they also had cookies and some deserts, while we were waiting for the cruise... but I found that we were extremely far from the fireworks and depending on which side of the pontoon like boat that you were sitting on, you had to look over the other guests head to be able to see them. In all my fav were Illumination and Tony's breakfast.. did not do the Safari one. Hope this helps.
