Magical Family selection

Just off the Dream and we were selected as the magical family. It was such a great honor. Anyone know how this selection is made or were we just lucky.

It is supposed to be random, but we were selected for the EBTA last year after they lost our luggage lol. I have to say, though, it really wasn't all that special for us We received something saying we'd been selected and that was it. Nothing happened. So a few days before the cruise was over I called and asked what exactly was I supposed to get for being chosen as the magical family? She said they had forgotten to add our name to the list of amenities So we were named the magical family again for the first med cruise. Aside from getting some freebies from room service, and an autographed picture of the characters, that was it I have heard of people getting a private "party" with the characters but we never got that.

It wasn't much but meant the world to my girls! That along with the FE gifts they were in Disney heaven.

The first night of cruise it was a card and a letter in our "mailbox"

We were told we were selected during our first evening in the dining room. Chef Winston made our family a specialty item every day. Even when we cut out early to eat at Palo, Chef Winston sent the platter to our room. It was waiting for us when we returned, along with a packet of his recipes. It was very, very nice and is a special memory from our first Disney cruise.

We were "Family of the Cruise" on the Wonder in 2007 on our 2nd part of a
b2b cruise. We were selected after one of the kid's club supervisors (Kat) found out we were staying on board. It was great, we had different treats every night, a bag full of family games and reserved seating at the shows.
