Hey everyone!

So I arrive at Disney in 3 weeks and I just booked ME to pick me up from the airport. This first night at Disney was booked through the US site (yay for the fall discount!) and as I've never used it before I was wondering if someone could give me the low down on where I find it, do I need to collect my bags, will Disney send me luggage tags etc etc (basically a dummie's guide :-D)

I'm flying in direct from London to MCO with BA and staying at CBR (for one night in a pirate room - oh lord!).

Can anyone give a rough estimate on what time I can expect to get to the resort? I land at 3.25pm and was hoping to make it to Epcot for Illuminations (I have an ADR at 7pm but I can cancel that and just grab a snack somewhere instead)

Once you arrive at MCO you clear immigration and then collect luggage before clearing customs.

Once through customs keep hold of your luggage and go up the escalator and take the transit to the main terminal.

Once at the main terminal head to side B and go down to level one - then follow the signs and ME check in is at one end of the terminal.

DME will not send luggage tags to the UK.

Timing is a how long is a piece of string question however I would say probably a safe guide is 3 hours from landing to resort room.

I would cancel you ADR as you will charged if you do not show up plus most people find they are too tired to enjoy a TS on arrival bearing mind the length of time you have been up and the time you body thinks it is.

I'd allow 2hrs from landing time to getting to the ME desk, and another hour to get to the resort.

so that gets you at check in around 6:30pm
you'll need to check in, and go to the farther end of the resort (pirate rooms are in trinidad south) so I'd add 30 minutes for check in and going to your room

So you'll be quite lucky if you get to your room before 7pm

if you can push your ADR to 8pm then it might be doable, but I wouldn't take the chance

we're usually too shattered to even think about getting a sit down meal on arrival night.

I was going to just jump in a cab because that's what I did to Universal last year and made it from landing at MCO to park in 2 hours (checked in and express pass sorted) but they were quoting me $87 (pretty sure it was half that last time) which I couldn't afford and US isn't that much closer.

Ok, cancelled my ADR, I'll just grab a snack and settle down for Illuminations

Thanks guys
