Have a strange question, My family of 6 is coming for an 8 night stay at BLT, My parents are coming to stay with us just for the last 3 days. We have the dining plan for the trip and my parents will not because every member of room reservation must be on dining plan and they are not gonna wanna pay for 8 nights on a 3 night stay. So we didnt add them to the room reservation, they will be flying in on or 5th day so I called member services and got their flight and magical express added but the names are under mine and my wifes. My question is do they ID the passengers where they show the boarding card for magical express? Or do I have to find an alternative route? The CM stated it shouldnt be a problem but they couldnt put anyone elses name but people on the reservation on boarding card.

When you get to the resort, add them to the reservation. You'll get keys for them but no dining plan.

Then, call DME directly (866-599-0951) and register their flight information under their own names.

That will remove any confusion if they check the voucher in your name at the airport and find that you checked in days ago.

I don't really understand this part - does ME have their names or yours? ME will get them on the bus - all your in-laws need is your reservation number - but if their names are in the system they won't even as for ID. ME will just verify names, venue and flight info and print them out vouchers.

From what I can figure out the in-law's names aren't in the system because if the OP puts them in the system now then they have to buy the dining plan for them for the entire trip, not just the 3 nights they are staying.

So instead of listing the in-laws on the reservation, they scheduled them on Magical Express under the names of the OP and his wife. What I'm not clear on is whether the OP and his wife actually need DME themselves, I don't see how they could register themselves for DME twice.

Adding the in-laws after arrival and THEN registering them with DME will take care of that and the in-laws can be registered under their own names.
