I haven't seen much talk about the Magical Express-

We are going to utilize that once we land in MCO....

Apprently our luggage will "arrive" right in our room @ CBR.

Can I get some feedback on your experience with Magical Express- good or bad!

Thanks

We used Magical Express for our first time trip in January we flew Southwest and stayed at Pop. We made the decision to carry our luggage on the bus rather than leave it for Disney to transport. It worked out well - but warning Southwest is on the opposite end of the airport as ME - we had to haul the suitcase quite a distance.

I was also a little shocked at the wait for a bus. The check in process was pretty fast with a lot of agents, but the bus lines were long and we waited over an hour.

That being said, I would definately utilzed Magic Express again. It worked well for us.

We used the Magical Express when we stayed at Pop Century. We flew in on Delta on an afternoon flight and went right to the ME desk and validated our vouchers. A bus was waiting outside and we boarded it and were on our way about 10 mins. after boarding.

We arrived at Pop Century and checked in immediately. We got on the bus and headed for the Magic Kingdom. We arrived just before the evening parade started and we also the fireworks.

When we returned to our room at Pop Century, our baggage was in the room and the air conditioner had been turned ON.

When leaving, we dropped off our luggage at the drop-off area at Pop Century and boarded the bus to the airport. Once again, it went pretty smoothly.

We never waited long at any point while using the Magical Express. If we ever stay on Disney property again, I would not hesitate to use the Magical Express.

We had a great experience with Magical Express last trip.

We arrived on Jet Blue around 12:30 PM. It was quite a ways from the ME check-in but it took us no more than 10 minutes to get through the line and on the bus to WL. We waited about 10 minutes before leaving. Our bus shares stops with the Poly and GF and WL was the first stop. We were at the hotel within 30 minutes. Our bags arrived exactly 2 hours after we checked in.

For our return trip, check in and baggage drop off took no more than 2 minutes. Our drive back was fast and efficient..it took a little longer as there were more people on the bus to the airport, than the bus to the resorts..but we were still at MCO within 45 minutes or so.

We used ME for our Feb.2008 visit and we were very pleased. Stayed @WL and flew SW. Luggage was in the room when we returned from Wishes and return to MCO was prompt. Will pass on this info, when you land @ MCO and go to the ME counter only one member of the family is allowed in line, however you will need all checked luggage receipts. This caused several people to leave the line and re-start the process. ME was very helpful over the phone with directions to their counter as well as how the process works,if you want to call them prior to your trip. For us ME was much better than doing our own driving in WDW Orlando area.

We've used ME for 2 trips. It was great except one time. It was just DH and I, so not as big of a deal. Our luggage was not delivered to our room until after midnight! We had been checked in since that afternoon.
We kept calling because we were tired and wanted our jammies.:goodvibes
They finally said- you can come to housekeeping if you want it!
We just waited it out and it finally came.

FWIW- This was just one time and probably unusual. Every other time the luggage has arrived in a timely manner. I would have had more "carry on stuff" with me if I would have been traveling with the kids.

Look at the transportation board -- there's lots of discussion about ME over there.

We fly out of Atlantic City and use Magical express each time, what a godsend!

I can't tell you how nice it is to drop your bags at the curb at ACY, enjoy a 2 hour flight, land and take the quick walk to the bus, board and relax for the half hour ride to CSR. Check in and BAM, our bags are there, truly Magical!:thumbsup2

Which ever CM came up with this idea should be promoted to head muckitty-muck!:lmao:

We used Magical Express for arrival and departure.

Arrival - Got on a bus fast even though I left the vouchers at home. But they lost our luggage. We arrived at 7pm at the hotel and got our luggage at around 1am. ALWAYS pack your key arrival items (that are airplane regulation friendly) in your carry on. We had our swim suites in the carry on and went for a swim when we got there.

Departure - Good but you bring your own luggage to them. And at the Orlando airport they charge you $3.00 for their luggage carts.

All in all it was well worth using it.

We were going to use ME, but last moment we found an awesome deal on a rental car, so went with that.

having only flown in to MCO twice now, with the first time taking a bus and the second time getting a car, I definitly reccommend the car.

When we took the bus it wasn't the ME, but it was run by the same company. We checked in for the bus, and waited an hour for it to come; not a lot of fun with a 2 year old. Then the bus was absolutly cramped, it took another hour to get to the hotel, then I waited forever to get checked in (possibly due more to it being friday then the bus).

This past time, We walked to our car, packed it (took maybe 10 minutes to figure out where our car was) and was off. The drive to WDW was a nice one, lots of stuff to look at. We got to our hotel (where I warned my wife about the long check in lines, and sent them off to look around) and there was no lines, no waiting. Checking in took about 5 minutes, and that was that.

Plus, driving to the parks instead of taking the busses is a godsend: you don't have to wait to get there, AND you don't have to wait to get back. We would get to the parks early enough and be able to walk to the front gates without too much trouble.
