A question for those of you who have used ME. We are planning on using it the first time this July. For those of you who used it, did you let them take care of your luggage or did you collect and put it on the coach yourselves. I'm asking as our flight from the UK will land in MCO around 7.30pm and so we will want a shower, food and bed when we arrive at the resort, I am concerend tha i will have to wait up until goodness knows what time for my cases. Also I would appreciate any feedback (good or bad) that anyone can give me about this service.

We just thought we would use it to give DH a break from driving after a long day on the plane and also hire a rental car for a little less time. Another question, does it drive into WDW via the main entrance i.e. under the arches, I just gotts see the arches when I arrive.

I'm going in April and like you will be using Magical Express - I seem to think the consensus is if you are arriving later that you should take your luggage (I'm arriving around 9pm) as there seems to be lots of instances where people get there bags around 1 or 2am in the morning.

Thanks, let me know how you got on - dare I say it - when you get back, but I know you don't want to be thinking about that awful moment right now lol!

Take a bag with you containing stuff you need immediately if you want to let Disney ME take the rest of your luggage. We were told to expect to wait upto 4 hours for ours. Not sure how long it took as we were out of the room when it arrived. The service we received was brilliant. Can't remember seeing the arches, I'm pretty sure we did not pass under them.

The first time we used ME I was a little nervous about relying on a third party to identify, collect, and deliver my luggage but since then I haven't been able to collect it myself (knee injury) so I've relied on the DME team.

The longest we have waited for our luggage to arrive in our room is around 2½ hours so for me it is perfectly acceptable - on this occasion, the luggage arrived after the children had gone to sleep - the flight had already been delayed 2 hours.

It's true that sometimes it can be longer but that's life and I personnaly believe that it's a small price to pay.

I used ME in September 2006 when you could only take very limited hand luggage in a small see through plastic bag. Even though the flight landed about 5pm, I didn't get my luggage till 1am and had nothing to change in to, clean teeth etc. Therefore on our trip this October we will be using ME again (as the service was very good other than this) but will take our luggage on the coach with us this time.

When we used ME in December, DS and I collected our luggage (1 medium case each) off the carousel at MCO and wheeled it through the airport to ME check-in. We gave it to the driver of our coach who put it in the 'hold' and he took it out for us when we were dropped off at SSR. Simple, straightforward and IMO better than waiting for our luggage...

I loved ME - we landed at that same sort of time as 2 other VA flights so the car hire area was teeming!!! It was sooo much more relaxing to stroll thro' to the quiet ME check in area and let someone else do the driving...

sorry, but can you leave the ME staff to do bags, and "cheat" by getting a hire car to avoid the queues? DS has AS so we need a car, but will only get a small one, ie no room for big suitcases.

I know from when this has been asked before, you cannot do this.

When I used it, it was an evening arrival time but I just packed overnight needs in our hand luggage and went to bed. They did knock on the door around 1.00 am which I ignored and they phoned in the morning to ask when I wanted it delivered to the room.

Thanks guys, think I will collect my own luggage, I can't be bothered with putting overnight stuff in my carry on, I like to travel light - at least until the day we have children!!

What we did was I went and got the car hire whilst the rest of my gang all got on ME. Thus they didnt have to wait around. They all got to OKW about an hour before me. The kuggage beat me too!
