Magical Express

Can you use the Magical Express for just your luggage? We are renting a car, but I was wondering why I couldn't use the service to bring our bags. This way we can go right to the rental car and not have to worry about waiting for the baggage claim.

Anyone ever done this or is this not allowed?

No you cannot,sorry. I read somewhere that they will only take luggage as long as there is a passenger(s).

I had a feeling, I just was not sure.

But if that is the case, then don't you have to wait for you luggage anyway? If they will not take luggage without the passenger, the "get off the plane and go" advertisement is false. You still need to wait until your luggage comes off the plane to leave as they will not take your luggage without you.

Meaing if it took 30 minutes for them to get your luggage, you could not leave on the bus until they get it, correct?

No the statement is true the problem is when they pull your luggage in the back they do not release it to the truck until you are scanned into and on to the bus by the driver.

When you go you check-in at the desk ,you get in line for the bus and then you get on the bus.They take care of all the luggage behind the sceens if yellow ME tags are on.If the tags aren't on then you can still just go to the desk show them( type of luggage from a card they have )and your baggage claim tickets and they will still pull your bags for you.

They then ship via truck your bags for you they are not on the bus with you.

What we did last trip was sent 3 on the ME and 2 went and got the van ( no luggage).We both hit SSR within 5 min. of each other.
You could still do something like that.

But what we are doing now as I have found it cheaper is using ME and picking up a car at DTD hotels or the CCC.
