Magical Express

Hi Everyone,

Has anyone used the magical express from orlando airport to wdw hotel? I'm thinking of using instead of the hire car. I thought it would be easier with our luggage. I just have a couple of questions.

Do we get the luggage labels like the US visitors so we don't have to collect our luggage from the second carousel? We have booked through Thomas Cook Signature.

Will Alamo deliver our car to the hotel the next day or do we collect from their disney depot and if so where is this? The car hire is also booked through Alamo.

Hi Maria,

Yes I have used this service and rated it highly (especially as it is free).

There are a couple of places you can pick up a hire car at WDW - one is at the Dolphin hotel in the Epcot Resort area. The other is at the Car Care Centre just outside of MK. Not sure if they would drop one off at your resort or not?? But they will pick you up in a shuttle and take you to the car hire place if necessary. We simply picked our car up on an Epcot day (the Dolpin being easily reached by foot or boat from the International Gateway).

The labels don't really matter but you must book in advance. We did it without labels last trip as they didn't arrive in time but described (breifly!) the bag's appearance and the flight number we had come in on and the Magical Express Staff handled the rest - so we did not have to pick the bags up a second time.

Thanks for the info. We are staying at the CBR so the swan and dolphin seems like a good option. We are doing this as we don't think we'll get all our luggage in the hire car. We 10 passenger in a 10 seater and now that virgin have change dto 2 x 23kg for luggage allowance this seems like the easier option. Thanks again, Maria

My ME label says AK on the top and pop century on the bottom. WE are staying at POP this time but stayed at AKL last time. Anyone know what that means?

We hired a 15 seater for our party of 9

However two of the party were coming from Las Vegas and I was not sure if we would be at the airport at the same time, so I booked magical express for them. They did get to Orlando at the same time as us so they got in our van and their luggage went directly to our resort at Saratoga Springs. I am not sure we would have got all of their luggage and all of ours and all of us as well.

We checked in went out for a meal and when we got back to the villas their cases had came.

Therefore you could just let the cases go on the magical express while you pick up your car.
