Magical Express... Will they keep it after the 18 Month Celebration?

I really hope so! It is such a convinience AND money saver. First time we went to WDW we drove, but we flew last month. ME was excellent with no problems.

Does anyone know how much Mears usually charges for the bus/shuttle service to and from WDW/MCO?

My thoughts are they will keep it but it will most likely not be free....

We asked this question during our stay and were told by a CM at the Pop that yes, they will be keeping ME and most likely charging about $30 per person round trip.

I bet it will remain free or very close to it....ME allows people to skip a car rental and with no car, families can't escape WDW for lower cost meals, souveners. etc.
If disney charged $30 a head (I am assuming that is round trip), that would be $150 for my family of five. For that price I can nearly cover the cost of a one week car rental (a round trip taxi would be much lower than $30 a head as well). With a rental car, a family might even spend a day at a different Orlando attraction.

I really believe the ME is all about KEEPING people on the Disney property for the ENTIRE length of their stay in Orlando.

Mears is around $30 rt, so hopefully Disney will be less! I am glad they finally have transportation, though! I always thought it was odd that they didn't.

If only they would keep it free! That might draw more people to stay on site, which would make it worth it to them!

When we booked the package portion of our trip through AAA (December 2006), ME was being offered without charge. My assumption is that it will continue to be free until the end of the calendat year 2006.
