What is the latest you can wait to make a reservation prior to a trip? I realize Disney requires a minimum of 3 weeks turn-around time for processing, however, I need a realistic timeframe for a planned trip in July. We have many procrastinators in our family!!

I made an ME on'line reservation lst Sunday and am going on 1/19--not three weeks notice. I spoke with MS and they said it was no problem at all. They said just to show up at the airport after getting conifmration of the reservation at the Disney desk and they will lead you in the right direction.

Last August, I found such terrific airfare on SW, that I decided to jump on it and go to WDW. That was on a Friday. We traveled the following Friday! I didn't get my yellow luggage tags, but we had only carry-on anyway since it was just dd and myself.
But, I wouldn't have worried if I had had checked luggage. I would have just grabbed my bags in baggage claim and taken them with me.
I wouldn't worry at this point. Just as long as they get you all into their system.

we went last august and member services never enrolled us in ME like they should have, so we got to the airport and they had no record of us- but it was no problem- we gave them our luggage claim tags, described the bags, and by 5pm they were in our room.

The last published rule was reserving ME 10 days in advance. Doesn't hurt to try anyway if you miss that deadline.

Effective November 2005 ME is not supposed to take walk up guests. But being magical means not getting into an argument with a guest who says he made a reservation.

At least get the name of the person you talked to when you call to reserve ME. Then just show up at the ME welcoming area (main terminal "A" side lowest level in line with outside bus space #30) with your room reservation sheet.
