Magical Express Reserv SCREWED UP!!!

Sorry I just needed to type and vent. Someone screwed up my magical express reservation. I am 8 days out and never received my package with luggage tags etc. So I called yesterday, DVC MS after holding for 15 min they told me I had to call Magical Express # so I did they told me DVC needed to fix it they couldnt find my reserv. so I call DVC back 20 min later they tell me they cant find my reserv either. They tell me I can still be put on the list but I will not get luggage tags etc. I have to go to the ME cust serv desk give them my claim tickets from regular checkin & they will get my luggage or I can get it from baggage claim and take it to bus area myself. I feel like I am the one being punished for someone elses screw up. If it wasn't for saving $100 for towncar I wouldnt be using their services. This happen to anyone else??? Can you trust them to find your luggage???? Deep breath, thanks for listening.
 
While it is unfortunate that your Express ressie was lost somewhere in cyberspace, I think I would not give them my claim tickets, but would retrieve my own baggage from the carousel. It has been my experience that MCO has a good baggage delivery system, and the airlines move it pretty quickly.

After you've retrieved your baggage, then I would present myself at the ME counter.
 
I wouldn't worry about this. Just get your bags at baggage claim like you always did and take them with you to the ME desk. Put the bags on the bus and have a great time. When you get to your hotel, your bags will be with you and you won't have to wait for them. We are going on Friday and we are using ME, but I have concerns about exactly when we will see our luggage. I can follow my own advice, but I want to give ME a full and thorough test. We will be back on Tuesday, so I will post my experiences with ME.
 
We just did ME less than 2 weeks ago. We never rec'd our tags either (in fact they Still haven't come!). We just went to the ME counter (which everyone has to do, luggage tags or not) and gave them our luggage slips from the airline with a brief description of the bags and they lead us to a bus. Our luggage arrived in our room about 1 1/2 hours after we did--it all worked fine.

I think as long as you know you're in the system to use ME, I wouldn't worry about not having the tags--it's not that unusual from what I gather. . .

If you are arriving in the late afternoon or early evening, I would RETRIEVE MY BAGS before going to the ME counter. On a trip where we did not receive the luggage tags, we tried giving ME the claim tickets and bag descriptions, but did not get our luggage until the next morning. Just a few extra minutes for us at the baggage claim area would have made our arrival at our resort much more magical!
 
Thank you all for the advice maybe I will just get the bags. That is what I have always done in the past so what is one more time. Thanks for the support. I was having a horrible work day that day and that just topped it off.
 
I'd get my bags if I were you! My MIL use ME in September (it was very quiet at WDW) and it took 3 hours for her to receive her bags!! :rolleyes2 She came in at 7:30pm and we called at 8:30, 9:30, & 10:00 for updates --- bags came in close to 11 pm.
