Not sure if this is the right forum to post this question. But for our upcoming trip, we would like to try the Magical Express transportation. My son will be 9 months old, and we will have his carseat on the plane. How does he ride on the bus? Are there seatbelts or would we hold him on our lap during the drive? He is very active, but sits in his carseat without a fuss. I just began to wonder about this, as the drive might take a while. Also, we will stay at AKL first, how many resorts will our bus go to before going to AKL?

Oh my... we rode DME 3x rt already.. and I can't remember if there were any seat belts. I'm sure I didn't see any... If I did.. I would probably already have asked the kids to buckle up. I think you will have to sit him on your lap. You're going to do the same thing with the Disney bus... sit him on your lap.

I was told by a CM that I can stow my carseat as luggage for the bus ride to the resort. As for how many stops till you get there... I was told, that will depend on where the other riders are going.

Hope this helps!

Since there are no seat belts, there's no way for you to use the car seat on the DME bus. The same holds true for Disney Transport, the buses that take you from your resort to the parks.

As far as where your DME bus will go before AKL? There are no seat routes, and no set groupings of resorts, so there's no way to tell. Everything is dispatched due to need and available resources. That being said, the general rule is that for any grouping of resorts, the one closest to MCO gets dropped off first, etc.

Thanks for the replies. I didn't think there were seat belts, so he will sit on my lap. There just isn't a question I have, that someone here didn't have an answer to. :cool1:

As to drop off sequence, AKL would most likely be last out of 3 or 4 stops.

For safety, I would recommend NOT sitting in the front row with infants. Although, motorcoach transportation is very safe, the front row is not recommended for infants.

Have a great vacation!
