Hello, Is it the case that Magical express departures to MCO are leaving 4 Hrs. before scheduled flt. time?
Ex. 9:00AM flt-------5:00AM Magical Express pickup. I do know that the security lines at MCO are typically heavy. I have read that there are 3 separate security lines. 1)TSA PRE, 2) FLTS DEPARTING 2 HRS OR LESS 3) REGULAR LINE. Some reports say that getting there that early may not be beneficial to all flyers according to your personal circumstance. I have read that getting there for the 2 Hr. flt window the lines were much shorter than the lines beyond the 2 Hr. mark. I have TSA PRE and no checked luggage (Lucky for Me) So I will have a ton of time. I am the type that would rather be early than late. But this could be extreme early for Me. I am pondering an UBER instead of M.E. ( Can UBER get thru hotel security in the early AM hours?) I am fully aware that it is ALWAYS better to be early than late. Does anyone have any personal experience or comments with this change?

Thank You.

1. Magical Express is, or will be very soon, back to three hours before departure.
2. If you have TSA Pre, your security wait till be very low, most likely.
3. You can take an Uber or Lyft. They can pick up at all Disney resorts.

It is currently, but it will go back to 3 hours on January 11.

I don't recall MCO having a designated TSA line for flights departing within 2 hours.

If you have TSA pre you will likely be through the security line within 15 minutes.

There is no line for those with flights in less than 2 hrs. There is signage that states you have to have a flight within 2 hrs in order to go through security.
I haven't been stopped from entering earlier than 2 hrs prior. I have precheck as well.

I’m going out on a limb and saying that that doesn’t exist anywhere.

I understand there are many lines. What I am trying to find out if you arrive at airport 2 or more hrs before your flt you will not be able to go thru security?
I have friends traveling separate from us that would find this info useful

I Have not come accross this at other airports I fly into.

I've walked right past that sign about 3 times now....and every time my flight was over 2 hrs away. Yes, I watched some people stop, read it, and walk away, muttering. But, no TSA person said a word to me about it...just checked my ID and boarding pass, sent me through.
I believe MCO has had the sign up simply because of the increased number of people that are arriving so early because of DME. With DME going back to the 3 hr prior to flight pick up time, that sign may very well be taken down!! I believe they start doing that on the 11th, but could be mistaken.

Oh gosh that wasn’t obvious to me at all. Sorry.

DME is going back to the three hour pickup later this week, starting Thursday, I believe.

I've not seen that enforced. We often get in the security line more than two hours prior to our departure.

if you are there very early and the security lines are not open yet, you will have to wait until they open. That's all I know about some kind of issue where you are not allowed to get into the security lines. It is possible you may not be able to check luggage more than a certain time before your flight, but that won't be an issue for anyone who isn't checking luggage.
