Magical Express luggage question

I'm confused regarding ME.

On the Disney site, it says "Upon landing at Orlando International Airport, claim your baggage at baggage claim and proceed to the Disney's Magical Express. Disney's Magical Express service will recollect your luggage and deliver it directly to your Walt Disney World hotel room within 4 hours after you check in at the resort."

My travel agent said that ME gets it from the airport handler and that I don't see my lugage until I get to my room.

Which is it? I want to make sure I get all my luggage and correct my travel agent if she's wrong so she doesn't confuse anyone else.

Thanks.

......How It Works

Reserve Disney's Magical Express Transportation when you book online or by calling (407) WDW-MAGIC or (407) 939-6244. Guests under 18 years of age must have a parent or guardian's permission to call.

Upon landing at Orlando International Airport, skip baggage claim and proceed to the Disney's Magical Express Welcome Center in the Main Terminal Building, B side, Level 1. Disney's Magical Express service will collect your luggage and deliver it directly to your Walt Disney World hotel room within 3 hours after you check in at the resort. Luggage delivery service provided by Disney's Magical Express is available for flights arriving between 5:00 am and 10:00 pm daily. For airport arrivals after 10:00 pm, Guests may collect their luggage at Baggage Claim and transport it with them on the motorcoach.

International Guests flying into Orlando International Airport from another country must follow the U.S. Customs and Border Protection process and claim luggage after disembarking the plane. After completing the process, proceed to the Disney's Magical Express Welcome Center in the Main Terminal Building, B side, Level 1. Disney's Magical Express service will recollect your luggage and deliver it directly to your Walt Disney World hotel room within 4 hours after you check in at the resort. I copied this directly from WDW official site. If you are coming in on an international flight, then yes, you will collect your own bags, as you have seen.
But, if you are flying domestically, then your yellow DME tagged bags will be pulled out before they ever reach the baggage claim area, and sent along to your resort.
Hope that helps.

Have things changed at Orlando International Airport recently regarding customs?

Traditionally,
international guests needing to clear or reclear customs in Orlando will claim their bags first at the customs station. Then there are the following choices:
1. Hauling the bags right out of the customs station and onto the airport tram and and over to the Magical Express welcoming area.
2. Putting the bags with or without yellow tags on the other conveyor belt and proceeding empty handed (or with carryons only) to the DME welcoming area whereby DME will deliver the bags to their rooms. See the counter CM at the welcoming area if you had bags without yellow tags.
3. Putting bags without yellow tags on the other conveyor belt and going to the carousels to claim the bags again, thus saving some lifting and carrying.

For flights actually arriving after 10 PM, all guests, including international guests who put any bags on the other belt at the customs station, need to claim their bags at the carousels at baggage claim and haul them to the DME welcoming area.

When DME first began (2005?) there was one rumor that guests who brought all their stuff to the DME welcoming area may have been required to let DME recollect their bags there for automagical room delivery during busy periods but I'm not sure whether that ever happened.

I'm not sure what the issue is.....as I said, I copied this directly from the WDW official site. IF it has changed, then so be it. We can pretty much forget the way it 'used' to be, and follow the policy posted now. Talking about how things used to be is only confusing....posters will see that and think it's the way things are now.
