Magical Express luggage delivery question

We are flying into Orlando and sleeping at the Hyatt in the airport. We will be taking magical express to CBR the next morning. My DH doesn't like the idea of having to retrieve our bags in Orlando and would prefer if they would just be sent to CBR via magical express that night (we would keep a small overnight bag for Orlando). My question is, will they allow this? Will CBR store our luggage overnight?

Thanks!!

No, it wouldn't work. Your DME reservation can only be ON or AFTER the day you are schedule to check in - not the day before.

However, Hyatt does offer a luggage service where they will pick up your luggage and deliver it to DME the next day.

I have heard this as well, but have always wondered what would happen.

Say I put the yellow tag on a piece of luggage and stay at the Hyatt or airport hotel. The luggage people grab the bags and put them in route to WDW. They do get scanned along the way, but I am wondering if they would get to your WDW resort and be held in Bell Services for delivery the next morning.....

I wonder if there is someone out there who would be willing to test this theory out... Who's gonna step up and give it a shot????? :)

I wouldn't try it personally, especially since the HYATT offers baggage services for ME and it specifically says you cannot use the service the day before you arrive at Disney.

Remember, the scanner is also reading the date and assumptions may be made as to how luggage arrived a day early. I wouldn't want to hope someone at ME assumed I was at the Hyatt and assumed I was coming the next day and therefore assumed it was okay to retrieve my luggage and take it to the resort, assuming that I might happen to arrive there the next day.

I wouldn't do it either, I just have this curiosity. Maybe someone flying SW could check an empty, old piece of luggage just to see if it gets there..... sounds like a experiment for someone........

I'm all for scientific exploration, but I'm not doing it either. Not to mention, I have no plans to hang around MCO for the night.

Check an empty cardboard box :-)

But if the plan worked, I wouldn't have the box to sleep in!

Actually, I *may* now be doing this. I'm going up for the marathon weekend and the airline just changed my flights. Not by a lot, but enough that I'll feel rushed getting things done that day (checked-in, expo, running gear prepared, etc.). So, I may see if I can take the last flight out the night before instead.

If I do, however, I WILL be collecting my own luggage (actually, my flight would arrive after 10pm, so I'd have to do so).
