Hi everyone! I'm looking forward to joining everyone on this cruise; I know I see some familiar names in this thread. :)

I noticed that the Port Adventures have started appearing on the website one by one. If you select Transatlantic Port Adventures and don't filter anything, there were 218 results appearing. 2 Dublin excursions (use your browser to find on this page "(DB" ) are currently listed and there is a 3rd unidentified placeholder at the top that is most likely Dublin as it also appears on the European port adventures page (currently at 530 results). 2 Boston Excursions are also listed "(BO" as well.
Prices would be nice to have. :(

Is it too late to join your group? My husband and I are taking our daughter and granddaughter on the TAC. We have never joined a group before but thought it would be fun for our granddaughter to exchange gifts with the FX. I look forward to hearing from you..

Well, there's really no "joining" if you mean just being part of the Cruise Meet thread. Once you've posted here that you're on the cruise, you're one of us.

They're populating in more information bit by bit. We're now up to 18 listings, most of which have some sort of detail and even some pricing is in there. Port placeholders are now in place for all 4 of the ports. Hopefully it will be a complete listing by tomorrow, as Saturday is my travel day to head to the Wonder!

Yeah, I saw that today. Started looking at them. Sadly, I'm not sure I see anything I'm interested in. I was hoping for an excursion to Lexington (Boston), but no. We were in Boston a couple of years ago and most of what the DCL excursions are covering we did already.

Rent a car and you can drive to Lexington on your own. It's unfortunately not particularly accessible by public transport.
Boston's somewhat of my stomping ground, so I may be able to assist with some suggestions or information.

Pixie Naseweis is Not going on this Cruise (she started the thread) - She had to cancel - But I believe she is still handling everything (which is very kind of her!). I have sent her messages on other questions and she responds very quickly - If she is not handling the FE she may know who is.

You need 10 post to send a Private message - you can post to this thread 8 more times and then you can send a private message. Just do 8 post - Tell us about your plans - your weather - your pets - your family - etc. Just 8 short post. Then you can PM and join the FE. I look forward to chatting with you!

FYI - They added "Best of Boston, Lexington, and Concord" (and several other excursions across the ports as well).

Really? Yay. When I started to book excursions last night I found that they had added about twice as many excursions to all the ports than were there the day before. But the one including Lexington wasn't there last night.

I'll have to do some more quick research today.

Hello,
Looks like we have officially joined this cruise. This will be our third one. My partner was keen on a transatlantic voyage. We have 3 boys (9, 6 and soon to be two) who would love to do the fish extender thing again. Although I think I stressed out too much about it. My hat off to those who are so organised and crafty.

Someone asked about sailing with a toddler. Our youngest was 4 months when he first sailed. We have stuck with the disney cruise lines because it was the first holiday I really enjoyed with the family. For anyone from the UK…I am not a huge Butlins fan, nor a Haven, or any campsite venue place. The reasons why I will leave for some other day. So Disney began as our 'compromise' holiday to try it out and to meet up with my family who live in the States. We got pretty hooked pretty quick. I liked the fact that I could go back to the cabin with the baby (who then the baby who became the 16 month old). It was quiet and there was something to do for everyone of every age together or on occasional separate adventures.
We were a bit disappointed that the Fjords trip (our second cruise) had less accommodation for under 3's in my opinion. But I may have not known where to look. (I think that their was more open houses at the other children's areas where the toddlers and parents could have visited with older siblings but I didn't realise this till after talking to someone about it. So my fault there really if that was the case). During our first cruise the nursery had an open house where you as a parent could come and just play with their stuff throughout the week. But he was a baby so we didn't use it. The following year it was only a drop off and we couldn't go into play and he was not for staying with the staff. They had toddler time in the afternoon in the promenade (I think) but they kept bringing out the same toys. There were not that many (although I'ld die for the seal ring toss game. They looked adorable) toys and the toddlers were definitely losing interest after a few days. They also can't go in the pools. A bit of a bummer but I can understand why. If you do Elimination communication and your child is potty trained…you may want to ask. Never hurts to ask in my opinion. There is a little water area with donald ducks nephews. I do use a double nappy system going in there but not sure if it is required. Its small but my 16 month old loved it and I suspect he will love it even more this year. In fact he wouldn't let me leave despite the cold. I had to put a stop at that at some point though. My youngest is a bit weary about character greets but he doesn't mind watching them from a distance. He still feels pretty much the same it seems. Movies and shows were out for him cause he truly does not like loud noises. Certain parts of the ship can be noisy. But despite all of what seems like a 'mediocre' review… We all really love it. Food anytime you want pretty much. Our little one could get a workout going up and down stairs and traveling around the ship (and we got one too). Meeting other people. I safe quite haven to go back to that was just a few minutes walk away. He enjoyed just being in the room and watching the scenery. He was in bed around 8pm most nights. Again…this is because its just his cycle. We did bring a pram for him to go in if we wanted to travel around the boat but we never bothered because of his sensitivity to noise. Plus I like being in the room. So my partner and the older boys went adventuring. Let us know if you have any questions. I'll try to answer them as best as I can.

Oh, forgot. My partner is from the Northwest so feel free to ask any questions about where to visit. We will help the best we can.

Just wanted to introduce myself. Our family (DH, DD7.5 and DS5 and I) will be joining you on our first family Disney cruise (the kids and I did a 5 day caribbean one 3 years ago that my husband was unable to join us for due to a change in his work situation after we already had it planned and we did a Carnival cruise last summer with extended family for my in-laws anniversary, but definitely not the same). It will also be our first transatlantic. I couldn't be more excited and am dying to tell the kids, but am working on getting a scavenger hunt together for them with all things they will need on the ship. Our last cruise was the greatest vacation ever, we were just missing our daddy, so can't wait to do it all together this time. Has anyone made plans after we get to Dover? I am trying to narrow down options and plan flights back to Orlando. Any airlines you recommend, airlines to avoid? We have spent very little time in Europe (and have never done a transatlantic) so am open to any and all suggestions. One of my concerns is how to pack light enough in order to make train travel and the flight back doable on that long of a cruise. Thanks for any ideas you have, we can't wait to be joining you.

If anyone needs to know more about disembarkation at Dover and transport links it's all on my trip report here

And on the accompanying blog, here.

I live within an hour of the port, and in London. There are maps of transport to from Dover, and whilst there embarkation videos, they will give you a good idea on layout and the terminal, and disembarkation photos and breakfast menu.

I am trying to sort out the most up to date information and links so forgive me if I am asking questions that have been answered ad nauseum. Does DCL offer transfers to London from Dover, and if so, at what cost? Do you happen to know where they drop off? Which hotels are they offering for post cruise stay and at what cost? Will someone list the link to a page that has information on transportation options from Dover to London? I have seen links to entire trip reports but I was hoping for a succinct answer on trains or shuttles available after debarkation in Dover.
Now it's off to look at all of the Port Adventures--suddenly there is a whole list of them!
Thank you for your help!
Rebecca
