Zachary got selected to play Santa in the school play, so he's going to be busy these next several weeks with rehearsals in the mornings. It's good because it gives him something to pay attention to so maybe he won't notice any of my cruise preparations!
Gas is under $2.60/gallon here, so I'm hopeful it will stay down and that will mean a bit of a savings on gas expenses for driving to the port.
We booked our room at the Country Inn and Suites several months ago. I was looking online at prices and saw it's gone up $5 if we were to book it today. Glad we got that rate in when we did. We're parking at the CI/S instead of the port. We're also staying at CI/S when we get back while we go to Kennedy Space Center for our post-cruise excursion.
My list-of-things-to-do at work is getting longer and longer, and at this rate, I'll be definitely ready to take a vacation! I've asked for two weeks off work for the holidays and included in that are a few days post-cruise at home. But one thing about the
DCL cruise is that it will be relaxing, especially once we reboard after Cozumel - the rest is just rest, relaxation, enjoyment, pampering, etc.
I've been looking at spa appts again but think I'll wait and see what onboard specials they offer compared to what I could book online. I did sign up for the Metabolism Testing/body composition analysis for Sunday morning. The earliest time they had was at 9:30 and while we can get off at
Castaway Cay earlier than that, I figured "what's the rush" since we have a 2nd day as well - and I figure that the boys will likely sleep in that morning, too. DH may go for a run on the island - I think that would be so cool for him. I want to get bikes and do some bike riding as well.
Does anyone know where we can find average water temperatures for Castaway Cay for December? DH and I have been discussing how warm/cool the water might be for water activities.
