Just off our first ever cruise! Going to have fun now posting some pics I snapped along the way!

Model in the Port:

Overview of the port - registration on right, kids registration on left.

Quiet Pool & Signals

Main pool

Kiddie pool & fun slide!

We were in stateroom 7118 - category 5B (I believe) - ocean view with verandah. Did not have pull down bed and was a connecting room. We're a family of 3, so sofa bed worked great. Loved the room - very quiet, aft, and past all the stairs and elevators. Everything was in excellent working condition. VERY pleased with amount of storage space and closet space.

Fun decorating the door (thanks to the DIS boards!)

Entering the room

Split bathroom

Surprised by storage in bathroom

Closet with one of the sets of drawers

TV, makeup station, and more drawers & cabinets. Bottom right cabinet opened to the refrigerator. We'd order apple juice at night from room service and keep in the fridge for our son to have the next morning. And we'd also order ourselves coffee and it really did stay hot! Didn't believe it would until I tried it! :)

Standing on verandah looking back in to room

Wave phones

Sofa that would turn in to bed at night

Kids club - My 7 year old bounced between the club and the lab based on the activities.

Club side (for younger kids):

Random shots:

Loved all the paintings that were available to purchase along the gallery walk!

Forgot to take a picture of Lumiere's dinner menu (that was my favorite meal!), but here is the dessert menu (the grand marnier soufflé was DIVINE!):

Menu at Carioca's - the deep fried lobster croquettes were fantastic!

Arcade (one of our son's favorite places to hang out)

Life vests were plentiful by the pools & for the water slides & AquaDunk

Carioca's ice cream sundae (dulce de leche ice cream, caramelized apples, & churro)

Nassau - We did not do any excursions and decided to explore a little on our own. My husband & I were married on Paradise Island and had not been back in over 10 years. Decided to get off the ship, walk down Bay Street and head towards Queens Staircase & Fort Fincastle. Was a little bit of a walk, and we got turned around, but the residents helped point us in the right direction. Was definitely an easy walk from the ship (just look at directions before you go!). Our 7 year old seemed to enjoy the fort and looking in the "cave" areas inside the fort. The views were great from the top. Pretty amazing history. Lots of locals in the area telling you about both the staircase & the fort...just have a few dollars to tip them - they will tell you that's how they make their money.

Family beach by the cabanas & Pelican's Point

Your child needs to be able to swim to get to this! The water is very deep - my 7 year old needed his life vest on. He was able to go down about 3 times before the lines started forming - we were there at 8:45am.

Another shot of the beach by the cabanas & Pelican's Point

It's a hike from the ship - take the shuttle to the area you want to hang out at!

Snorkeling area

Aaahhh...Serenity Bay before anyone arrived....

Hammocks were my favorite part of Serenity Bay (they have them on the family beaches, too!)

Bar at Serenity Bay

These signs are posted all over the beaches...

I like these signs better! :)

These little guys are all over the island - keep your eyes peeled for them!

Bar by the family beaches

Don't miss the Til We Meet Again party on the last night! All the characters and some of the favorites from the shows make an appearance and do last minute signings!

Love all the photos- thank you!:goodvibes

We're taking the Magic for the first time next month, this was a great photo journal!! Thank you so much for sharing your experiences.
:yay:

Great pics! What settings did you use for the photos in AP? I could not get my pictures to come out so nicely.

Thanks for Sharing. We are going on the Magic on the 21st with a group of 22 Family/Friends in our party and also stopping at Nassau. Can't Wait!!:cool1:

Thanks! I actually did not take my SLR on this trip and just used my little Canon S110 point and shoot! Stayed in auto (GASP!) or portrait mode most of the time. I was happy with about 50% of the pictures I took. Considering I snapped about 450 in 4 days, thought that was good! Although next time I will take my better camera & lenses.

We were on the same cruise. Loved seeing the pictures. We also walked to the queens staircase and fort finncastle.

Figures! I was over thinking it!!! Haha!

That's a great little point and shoot then if you got such great shots. :)

Very nice photos! You are whetting my appetite for my first trip on the Magic this fall.

Cheers!
