Magic Puppy cruise June 2006

Thanks eveyone, I'm glad you enjoyed it. We enjoyed making it.

DCLFUN - we've made it part of our raising to educate people on how to approach a service dog. It's amazing how many people have really never seen one before and don't know how to act. The crew should know a little better now since Yager's visit. She taught them all how to act properly... well except for Pluto. :)

How awesome!! Thanks so much for sharing! What a beautiful Golden! :dogdance:

very good video. you probaly made a lot of crew members really happy. as they wont see too many dogs.a great thing you are doing

you made me cry watching that video. im also on the 14 night transatlantic cruise in august. if i happen to remember your family at that time and see you on board i will tell you what a wonderful thing you are doing. i wish you could have a service dog with you on your aug cruise but i know europe has some weird regulations about dogs.i imagine some people wouldnt want to be seated by the dog at supper time but that dog can sit right beside me.

Thanks for the info Kathy, I'm sorry I didn't know I wasn't supposed to pet Syke. But now I know. She's beautiful BTW. Going to try to watch the video again.

It's funny, hubby had just assumed we were taking a dog on our repo cruise! He started talking about all the neat things he planned to do with the dog and I just looked at him and said, ''what, are you crazy?" We had nightmare doing the paperwork for Grand Cayman, 3 weeks of dealing every day with them to get it done and then they didn't allow us into any shops or restaurants, we were asked to leave everywere... huge waste of my time since I found out later we could have just brought her without taking her off and NO PAPERWORK!

So there was NOOOOOOO way I was planning on another paperwork war. Hubby still doesn't get it. He pouts when ever I give him the no way Jose look.

Pluto - I've only run into people who don't want to sit next to her on the plane. I think everyone on the cruise would have paid extra to be at out table. :)

I think she was more excited to see the characters than most children are!

I just found out about your video because of a thread on the DCL board! I loved your dog! Here's 2 pictures I took of you folks!

Thanks for sharing your video--it made my day!!!:cloud9:

Thanks for sharing your video!! One of my classmates at school is socializing a puppy to use as a companion. She brings her into class off and on. I think it is amazing! Good for you!

I loved the video. A friend has had a companion dog for a number of years and I know and understand the responsibility. But hey, Disney gets to everyone. It was great to see both Yeager and the characters having so much fun. EVERYONE gets to let their hair or fur down once in a while. Keep up the great work. My only question is, how could you choose just one of those pictures for a holiday card?
I wish we had been there with you. Yeager can eat at my table any time!

I loved the video so happy to see the disney magic brought to a dog life if only i was training a service dog. My dog would just love it as he love getting out of the house that would be a real treat to him.

That is such a GREAT video!!!

I think Yager is definately a Cinderella fan!!!

I was just thinking not too long ago if they have ever had a service animal on the cruises and how they would do it.

I'd love to know more!!!

This deserves a bump seeing as it's a topic on the main cruise board...:goodvibes

That was Fantastic!!! Your puppy is beautiful. :goodvibes Thanks so much for sharing!!!!!!!!!!

What a great video!! I can't wait to meet you and your newest member in a few weeks. Can I bring some treats for him/her for your FE??
