Hello Disney Fans,

We will be visiting in May 2014. Our DD's will be 3 and a half and 8 months old during this trip.
We haven't been since 2011, and with the new expansion at Magic Kingdom, was wondering if anyone can provided feedback/comments on visiting Magic Kingdom twice in one trip.
We want to ensure we experience as much as possible, but as you know with young toddlers and babies, we don't want to turn it into a sprint!
We are considering doing this, as we feel we won't need to visit DHS or Epcot at this stage of the game, and will do AK, with floating the option to do MK twice.

Thanks for any advice!

How many days are you going to the parks, and do you have park hopper tickets?

I really think you should consider dhs. They have the Disney junior area and m & g that your oldest would probably like

When we went in January, we spent 2 full days at MK. The first day we were there, we spent mainly in Fantasyland, and added in a couple of things in Liberty Square and Frontierland. The second day we did Adventureland, Tomorrowland, a few things we missed in Fantasyland, and a very short amount of time on Main Street. I was glad we'd allowed to days for MK as it was our first trip. Next time, we'll only do one day and hit new things or favorites. We also skipped Epcot. DHS was our least favorite for the young kids. Disney Jr. was good and the meet and greets, but the little ones really didn't like anything else. Just my two cents. You'll have a great trip!!

Two days at MK are certainly fine, and we always spend more than one day there, but don 't rule out the other parks either. My boys loved all the parks as preschoolers. My youngest DS liked HS better the MK by 4 or 5! I would do hoppers for sure. So nice to do the main part of the day at MK, and take a rest and head over to less crowded Epcot for dinner and some time there. Once you have 3 or 4 days passes, it cost so little to add more days. We always get passes for everyday we are there. We can spend less time in the park everyday, if we are going to be in the parks everyday.

We are going for 7 days with 6 in park days. Of those I have 3 allocated to MK. I know that there is things at other parks that my nearly 3 yo will enjoy, but I think that for him MK is what WDW is going to be all about.

Well your touring is a bit different then puts even though our children are roughly the same age gap (at least my younger two) we do 2 mk, 2 ep, 1 hs, 1 ak. We even skipped Ak one year. We have a good zoo here and just feel so so about AK. We have favorite rides at HS and the kids love Disney junior. My whole family loves EP :)

Thanks everyone for the feedback! We are staying off site and will be doing some other activities and family friend visits (Clearwater beach) so we only have 3 days to visit the parks. We appreciate all of your input!

I definitely wouldn't rule out DHS so quickly! As PPs already mentioned, there's Disney Jr., but don't forget Toy Story Mania, the Muppets, Honey I Shrunk the Kids play area, Little Mermaid, and Beauty and the Beast. Plenty of fun for little ones!
