Magic Kingdom Table Service

Great pictures!
Do you recall what menu item each of those were?
The cheese bread was the pao queijo which is a Brazilian bread. It’s not on the menu but they always have it as a not-so-secret item. The chicken was the “tastes like chicken because it is”. It was really delicious. The vegetables were cooked perfectly as well. The dessert was called kungaloosh I think.

Was just in Disney last week. My filet was better at BoG than Steakhouse 71.

We had a similar dilemma on our upcoming trip for both lunch and dinner. Amazing, every option at MK was available, but we both often prefer to leave the park and eat that an MK resort as others have suggested. Since it's going to be HOT (we will be there in mid July) and lunch time is the busiest time at the park usually, we're going to boat over to WL for lunch at Whispering Canyon (first time, super psyched!). For dinner, we booked Skipper Canteen but honestly we'll probably cancel that and just graze on snacks as WC will be a hefty lunch.

All that to say, I'm a bit proponent of leaving the park for sit down meals with it comes to MK. Skipper Canteen is probably the only sit down spot I'd even consider, as it has a good combo of good (and interesting/different) food and fun atmosphere.

My family prefers Liberty Tree Tavern for TS in Magic Kingdom. The food has always been good and a decent value for the money.

Would definitely take a break from the parks and boat over to Copper Creek for Whispering Canyon. Or head over to Grand Floridian Cafe. Just not a fan of any TS at MK.

We have Steakhouse 71 dinner reservations for one of our MK days at the Contemporary! Very reasonably priced & the reviews are fabulous. Can’t wait to try it!

Check The Plaza menu as well. It’s a sit down, but with limited sandwich and ice cream options. It’s not as expensive so as far as value is concerned, it works, and it is right there on Main St

You have enough replies so, it isn’t really necessary to jump in. With that said from a value proposition the crippling blow for many options is the grand prixe fix. So, the first question, imo, is does everybody at the table want to have an appetizer desert, and expensive meal. If that answer is yes, then the question simply becomes do you want better food or better Disney theming. Nothing will be terrible theming, and nothing will be terrible food, but the balance is a clear give and take of those two per dollar.

However, if you are like me and want to split an app or desert at most and never get both, may split entrees with some parties and not get everyone a whole entree, then the balance of cost to theming shifts and it is never “worth it” to go to Those with a grand prixe fix. The same balance exist in all the restaurants to a degree, just at a different pricing in this case. The balance, imo& experience, leans heavily toward skipper canteen inside MK but the theming isn’t really “Disney” as most people imagine it, which is probably what has allowed it to remain reasonable costs with decent quality food and theming.

Now, this assumes one has planned a budget, since obviously if the difference in money doesn’t matter it doesn’t matter.

At the moment, The Plaza menu only consists of three entrees: Meatloaf, a burger, and a fake burger. :(

We’ve done all of the TS in MK. The thing with CRT and BoG is the price fixe makes it feel like you don’t get a lot for your $$$. We did skippers canteen for the first time in March and loved ir. Had the “it tastes like chicken because it is”. We also like Plaza in MK and Steakhouse 71 if you want to walk over to Contemporary.

Wow! Literally like 2 weeks ago, (we are only 2 weeks out now) there was the specialty monte Christo with the jam and a club sandwich.
I better recheck all our menus, luckily I did not book there, though I have eaten the club there before and liked it for a light option.

Our trip is 2 weeks away as well & we had a reservation for the Plaza. I dropped it when I noticed the Monte Cristo was gone. Luckily I had the Steakhouse 71 reservation as a backup.

We are fans of staying in the parks for meals, from a time perspective we don’t like spending park time to leave and travel for a TS. We aren’t big foodies but do enjoy a good meal. We have Skipper Canteen and LTT booked for our MK evenings in July.

Keep in mind that MK will be closing early many days in October for Halloween Parties. If you don’t have a party ticket, your dinner reservation will only be allowed in MK prior to the park close (and maybe even earlier). If your MK day is an early close, your best bet will probably be a reservation at a resort after the park closes.

Plaza has posted a full updated menu. Take a look
Much better!! Any picky eater can have a chicken sandwich, the Reuben looks like it could be good too, and a burger is always around. This is what it is: a sandwich lunch to sit inside that won’t break the bank, with a milkshake

Our number one is Liberty Tree Tavern at MK. We are Midwest farmers and this type of food is wonderful. Turkey, roast beef, pork mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, rolls, mac and cheese and an great ice-cream cookie dessert. Just ate there to weeks ago. Delicious and great service. Not crowded at all. We did a walk-up reservation. Our wait was about 10 minutes. We ate five or six times at Be Our Guest prior to the pre-fix menu and loved it. Ate there once with the pre-fix and have not been back since. Have eaten at the Royal Table for dinner and breakfast. Both were good but it was more about a castle experience. Liberty Tree gets our vote although Chrystal Place is good for breakfast.
