Magic Kingdom Ride Modifications

There was also another 3D movie at philharmagic before philharmagic replaced it. Who wants to be a millionaire was actually where American Idol is now if I am not mistaken.

Who wants to be a millionaire is Toy story, Superstar Television then Doug Live is where American Idol is now

Although the attraction area is in the same place,
World of Motion was demolished to build Test Track.

Same with Mission:SPACE vs. Horizons.

The entire Horizons building was demolished to build Mission: SPACE.

While Test Track does not use any of the ride system from World of Motion, it was built in the same building.

I seem to recall there was a period where they showed Magic Journeys in that theater. That's the 3D movie that was originally shown in the Imagination pavilion at EPCOT before Captain EO and then Honey I Shrunk the Audience and then Captain EO again.

If I am not mistaken it was once a Lion King show as well.

Yes, Magic Journeys moved into Fantasyland Theater when Captain EO booted it from the Imagination pavilion at EPCOT Center. While in Fantasyland, the preshow for Magic Journeys was a cute 3D cartoon from the 1950s called Working for Peanuts which featured Donald Duck, Chip, and Dale.

Timekeeper is now part of the pre-ride queue for Stitch.

Not a ride, but isn't there a section of Mouse Gear that used to be some sort of theater?

The Southern part of what is now Mouse Gear (the part closest to World Showcase) was the Electronic Forum. It featured 2 main areas:

The first was an area with a bunch of TVs where you could watch TV channels from around the world. There was a bank of giant satellite dishes right outside which they used for the feeds.

The second area was a theater with keypads built into each seat where they conducted polls on various topics including current events. They asked questions and you would enter your answer using the keypad. There were screens which would show statistics about how the audience answered both that day and all time.

The other half of what is now Mouse Gear was the original main gift shop, the Centorium. It was 2 floors.

Body Wars to Star Wars.... I think

Nope. they were active at the same time. Body Wars officially closed in 2008/9 (I think). Star Tours opened right around 1990. They operated together for 15 years. Although Body Wars was "Seasonal" starting in 2004/5.

Body Wars was in Epcot, in the Wonders of Life pavilion. Star Tours is in Hollywood Studios. So they never were in the same location, much less used the same equipment.

The Nemo ride in the Seas pavilion was originally the "Seacabs" portion of the Sea Base Alpha attraction.

Both used the same type of ride vehicle and it's rumored that the Body Wars vehicles were cannibalized for spare parts to use on Star Wars.

I don't doubt that the parts were used in Body Wars. However, the original question was which rides used the same buildings and may have retrofitted the same track, etc. I was just pointing out that Body Wars and Star Tours are in different parks, so could have never shared the same building. :)

I think we will see more of this type of retrofitting as park rides age. Journey into Imagination is an example of this process gone wrong. At least in my opinion.
