I was looking at MK on Google Earth and was wondering something.

The pic below is north of the castle just behind it. You see CGC in the lower left corner. Just to the NE of CGC is Dumbo. Due north of Dumbo is Ariel's Grotto. To the right of the Grotto is a large body of water that looks like it has a track running through it.

Is this where 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea used to be?

You got it.

I find these pictures are actually pretty outdated.

At Epcot, there is not trace of even the beginnings of the Soarin' Theaters.

You got it!!! It was never one of my favorites, but I do miss it. I hope they do more with that space than just the new Pooh's Corner thing.

Thanks for the QUICK replies!

That's a huge building where the ride was housed. You'd think they could do something with it.

I actually miss the ride and the Pooh's corner is kinda lame considering the prices of tix these days. They should bring back a ride with Finding Nemo theme....

Wow, I had forgotten about that ride. It was super cheesy, but I have to admit, I LOVED it as a kid. I thought we were on a real sub! How gullible was I?

DS loves the Pooh playground now and I have to say it is nice to have another spot for him to run off more of his energy. Makes going to sleep at night much easier. However I do miss 20000 Leagues though.

If you think the "20,000 Leagues" building is big, did you look over behind the facades of iasw and HM?

Now, THAT is some REAL ESTATE!

The first time I went on that I was about 6. I thought it was 20,000 "legs" under the sea. I was so disappointed when I only counted a couple people (= 4 legs). I remember getting off the sub & telling my parents how Disney had mis-named that ride. Best I remember they didn't laugh at me TOO loudly! :rotfl2:
