After years and years (and years) of refusing my father has finally agreed to go to Disney world. I hope that he will fall in love with Disney like the rest of us. My party will consist of my parents, my cousin, DH, DS11, DD3 and myself. We will be going to MK a few days before my parents arrive but they will only be spending one day at MK. MK is never a one day park for us so I am struggling with how much and what to squeeze into a day at MK.

Any tips or suggestions?

Thanks!!!

i would think about what type of things he enjoys. or, maybe try to second guess him! consider doing the classic rides, parade/fireworks, if he likes shows--a couple of those. maybe think about waiting times so there won't be a long wait. what time of the year will y'all be going?? my suggestion would be to think about each land and what is a must do for you and your family and if dad would enjoy those things too. good luck!

All depends. You CAN get everything in the park in one day, save for maybe one or two rides. This depends on what time of the year you're going. I went in July of last year and my crew (I call my fam. the crew) did basically everything except for the fireworks, as we were not interested in the fireworks. For your father, try doing anything he is interested in. After that, it's all up to you.

Good job getting him to go. My parents said they'd just as soon go to war time Iraq as disney. If it were me I'd play up the grandad/grand kid opportunities. My son is ten and loved the sorcerers game. That would be a great thing to play together, plus you really start noticing the cool details. And your daughter is three? What if he goes with her on Peter Pan or the Winnie the Pooh rides? When I think of the best times at disney it's always the things that I remember ds getting excited about. I think grandparents are even bigger suckers! I wouldn't try to squeeze a lot in.

Thank you everyone for the suggestions! I think I have a starting point now so I really appreciate it. We are going the first week of October so I think crowds are lower at that time.
