I haven't posted any in here in a while...went back through my Dec and Jan trips and found that I posted my night shots and wide-angle shots - but still had a lot of other shots I hadn't posted. So, here are some of those:

Not faster than a speeding train...I was just fast enough:

Here's a parade fewer people see...when the skies open up just when the parade was planned, you get the 'alternate' parade:

As always your photos are superb Justin.
I've never heard of the "Rainy Day Character Cavalcade" - can you tell us more about it? We always go in August when there's plenty of rain about but it disappears pretty quickly and the parade goes ahead. I imagine the wet weather hangs around longer in winter.
Those Adventureland details are wonderful - no matter how hard I try to remember to look for the details, I always seem to pass them by!
I really hope they're still doing the "Princess and the Frog showboat show" when we next come to WDW - it looks brilliant.
More pics please!

Thank you!

Indeed - you can get more extended rainy periods in the winter. Summer has far more intense storms, but they are usually just for a small portion of the day.

The Rainy Day Cavalcade is one of those things they do every so often when folks have lined up for a parade because the rain isn't too terrible, yet it is too much for the parade floats and intensive costumes. So the dancers and some costumed characters come through on foot or in Main Street Transportation vehicles, and they do 'rain' songs (obviously, Singing in the Rain!). It's a short parade, but they seem to be having fun in their rain gear.

Here are a few rainy snaps from the parade (all taken with my ultrcompact camera in a rain bag, shooting through plastic...so they're not my best! But my DSLR stays put away during rain).

It was very cool - happy music, good costumes, lots of fun:

Thank you very much - it all looks wonderful - can't wait until our next trip but looking at your photos will keep me going until then!!:thumbsup2

Where are those steps located? I can't remember them from anywhere.:confused3

Kathy, the steps going up through the trees are on Tom Sawyer Island...just past the Harper's Mill on the way towards Aunt Polly's along the waterside trail. There's this long stairway heading up to the lookout hill from there...one of several ways up that hill, but the longest continuous stairway that I can recall.

Thankyou I'll look for them in Oct. I can't believe I never saw it before.

Thank you SrisonS for the comments, and great stuff as usual from you. The diagonal on the train is a good way to get it all in, and good DOF control there too.

Reto - great Jungle cruise shot!
