Magic Kingdom Parking

We have never used the magic kingdom parking lot.
When you pay ($20 car) do you get a paper parking pass?

If we want to go back to the hotel in the afternoon do we just place the parking pass in the window to get back in ???

They'll let you back into the parking once you've already paid. Just keep your reciept.

And if youre staying on property (you didnt say) the parking is actually free.

I was actually asking for a co-worker.
They will be staying off property and will be going to the magic kingdom on Sunday.
They want to leave mid day and go back to their hotel for a nap but come back in the evening.
I was not sure how they handle that ... If they give them a paper pass or what ??

They will give them a receipt and that will be all they need for parking and rentry later that day.
