Hi everyone I am new but have learned through researching on these boards that Mondays are busier than Tuesdays in MK... however if I do not go Monday Feb 28 (the day before Mardi Gras) then we would have to go on Mardi Gras- Tuesday March 1st...would it be better in this case to go to Magic Kingdom on a Monday instead? thanks

I believe that you are 'splitting-a-hair' with respect to crowd levels.

There is nothing within Magic Kingdom that will bring increased crowds on Mardi Gras.

Port Orleans (resort) has a short parade.

For those of you interested in Mardi Gras celebrations - Universal has nighttime Mardi Gras parades.

We are going to stay at PO FQ that week and been to Mardi Gras two times in the past 5 years. We usually take Mardi Gras off to enjoy the festivities at PO and Disney Springs. I have been to the parks on that Tuesday with no appreciable attendance spikes. Some people do dress up some and wear beads. One thing that is interesting is that there is a large influx of people from Louisiana that go to WDW during the week because they have their school breaks that week due to the crowds in New Orleans.
