Hi :wave2:

So my adult DD and i are braving the World for the week after Christmas:scratchin:yay: i know it will be crazy crowded:crowded: but we're excited !!
All our ADRs are done; we also snagged the Tomorrowland Dessert party: and Epcot for NYE.party: So.... my question for the experts out there is do you think we'll be able to get into MK for a 9pm ressie at Crystal Palace:confused3 We are staying on site at POFQ:thumbsup2 and i will hopefully have an AP by then.
I have heard that it may close to capacity but then open back up later in the day/night.

Thank you for your help
Liz:)

You can't predict what a huge unknown quantity of guests will decide to do or not do on any given date.

Pick which park is more important to you… go in early in the day (before 10AM) and stay there.

If you are not in MK and want to try... at about 7:00PM, you can call WDW-INFO and hit "0" and ask the operator what is the entry status of MK.

Of course, if you CAN'T get into MK, your credit card will be charged for the no-show at CP.

Hey Liz!

THis sounds awfully familiar. My family is also staying at POFQ and going to MK on Dec. 30th and EPCOT on NYE!

We've never had a problem heading to MK at night. That's not to say that this year will be crazy crowded and have a Phase 4 Closure - it COULD happen. But, if I were a betting man, I'd say it won't.

My family gets to WDW on December 24th. By December 30th, we're tired. Last year, we rented a boat from Contemporary in the morning. It was cold in the morning and the weather looked TERRIBLE! But, my dad was really looking forward to it, so we went on. Of course, when our hour on the boat was over, the sun came out.

We decided to swing by MK. It was ~75 degrees and the sun was shining. One of the many great days weather-wise we experienced - hopefully our weather karma stays consistent this year! Anyway, it was noticeably more crowded. All things given, it was around 1pm - when the parks typically get very crowded. But we soon found out the park was at a Phase 3 closure. We left the park and returned that night for the NYE "dress rehearsal."

Guests staying on-site are still allowed in the park at a Phase 3 closure. In our 5 years going for Christmas, we've never been turned away from a park. I think you could definitely swing a 9pm reservation. ALTHOUGH - I would say, you'd be missing out on some of the fun. The park really picks up around 9ish - a DJ starts playing and people start to head to Main Street around 10:30pm for the fireworks. You may be cutting it close. Just a warning.
