Right. In general the food on Castaway has never been particularly great IMO.So, the usual terrible CC food? D:

Because these new Cabanas are family and right next to serenity bay and will impact the adult only vibe and quieter atmosphereWhy not? Why would more cabanas that are in an isolated location of the island matter to anyone?
Agree - those are my concerns as well. Along with sharing Hangar 98 with kids. Going to CC next month - hoping for no changes to the serenity bay experience.Because these new Cabanas are family and right next to serenity bay and will impact the adult only vibe and quieter atmosphere
I think you're overblowing it, but entitled to your opinion. Serenity Bay at Lookout is adjacent to the main family beach and I haven't heard anything about Serenity Bay there being ruined.Because these new Cabanas are family and right next to serenity bay and will impact the adult only vibe and quieter atmosphere
Many people feel Serenity Bay is a step back at Lookout and have complained about kids in the area and lack of proper division. In fact we had some very angry adults in Sept because we had kids in the area (personally I put that on DCL as the signage is minimal and they do not seem to enforce it well)I think you're overblowing it, but entitled to your opinion. I agree with those people, haha! Serenity bay on Lookout sucks compared to CC. When we were there in Sep there were plenty of kids wandering over the divide of a few traffic cones set up. They really should have set up the Mabrika Cove area to be adult only on Lookout. That being said the family cabanas are too close for comfort on Castaway. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out. I’m genuinely curious why they landed at that area to build more cabanas when they own an entire island. Guest experience was not being considered in this decision (imo)Many people feel Serenity Bay is a step back at Lookout and have complained about kids in the area and lack of proper division. It also took the more secluded crew area away from them. Now their area is directly adjacent to Serenity Bay - which gives them zero privacy from the guests. They deserve a place they can truly relax and enjoy themselves away from the view of guests. That annoys me more than screaming kids being within earshot.Because these new Cabanas are family and right next to serenity bay and will impact the adult only vibe and quieter atmosphere
I do have confirmation that Hangar 98 has 2 sides that are separated. The new family cabanas is on one side and the adult area is on another - solid wall between them. So at least there's that...Agree - those are my concerns as well. Along with sharing Hangar 98 with kids. Going to CC next month - hoping for no changes to the serenity bay experience.
It didn't seem like the cabana's were isolated to me. We were sitting at the tables at Serenity bay and they were building the Cabana's next to that area. Now I may not fully understand the final layout but they seemed really close to Serenity Bay. I will probably never be able to afford a cabana in addition to the cruise so selfishly I would rather have a view of the water than more views of buildings. Why not? Why would more cabanas that are in an isolated location of the island matter to anyone?
Was just there Friday and alll saw here picnic tables. Could have missed something thoughHave they added any non-picnic table seating? With 2 replaced knees its almost impossible for me to maneuver in and out of the benches. We were at Serenity Bay the week before Hangar 98 opened, and I thought a crew member told me that the expansion would include some tables and chairs. But all of the videos we've seen only show only additional picnic tables on a deck?

It seems like they split Hangar 98 into two sides. Half the building for serenity bay, half for the new family cabana. That's what I heard but wasn't sure if it was fact. Hopefully they still keep the adult area adult.
OOPS, it's been some time since we have visited CC and I didn't remember those tablesHmm - John VN (quote didn't work) - I can do the pivot and scoot on tables where the ends are open (picture on the left) but haven't figured out how to do that on the kind they have at CC where the "brace" is angled? (Picture on the right).
. I wouldn't have expected DCL to keep those cumbersome - splintery (?) tables.Huh? How does this make it non-exclusive? I'm lost.I am terrified about the now non exclusive adult only area. Literally my favorite of a DC..so..
