The ramp at the Magic Kingdom leading to the monorail seems pretty steep for wheelchairs and electic scooters? Is it actually ADA compliant? Is there any other access that is less steep or even an elevator up to the monrail level? If I remember correctly, there is an elevator at Epcot...but I don't remember seeing any at the Magic Kingdom...

I can't comment on the ADA compliance question, but I have used my scooter on the ramp at both the Magic Kingdom and Epcot many times and have had no problem with it. I usually lean towards the front of the scooter going up the ramp and lean back a little going down. I really don't know if that makes a difference or not. There is an elevator at Epcot, but not one at Magic Kingdom

The ramps at MK and TTC are not ADA compliant. Of course they were put in before ADA. Because of the way the Epcot station is constructed they were able to put in an elevator.

Under the requirements of the ADA they do not have to make the stations accessible unless they are doing major repair work anyway. And if you analyze the way the stations are set up there is no way that they can safely and easily put in elevators (especially for the MK Express and Epcot Boarding at the TTC).

At MK you also have the option of taking the big boats to/from the TTC if the steepness is a concern. From there you can use the elevator if you need to transfer to the Epcot monorail- a bit of a longer journey but a relaxing option.---Kathy
