Magic Kingdom Fireworks Party & Disney Starlight

It was blazing hot that night so we went back and forth to get a snack while waiting.
Oh wow! I did not know that was an option (to go back and forth). Thank you for your insight! I'm with you in the sense that I'm okay with being further back, as long as its in an enclosed area and I'm not fighting 10 families for a single square foot of space.

Glad you enjoyed the party. Now even looking more forward to it!

We did Treats and Seats last night - had a table for two at the wall directly under Tinkerbell’s zip line. We could see the parade from afar, but I wouldn’t consider it prime viewing. Conversely, we watched the 11 pm parade from Frontierland a few nights earlier, and that was spectacular. We would have missed a ton of details if the dessert party was our only viewing of the parade.

Zip line? What zip line?? You mean she flew directly over your head.....!

My “current” plan is to watch HEA from Fantasyland (I know, no projections) then hop over to liberty square and watch the parade from the porch near LTT.

Not who you asked.
Yes, stuntwoman Tinkerbell flies down from the top of the castle on a zipline. It's a very nice scene! She waves her wand as she flies, and the lights on the trees below her path twinkle in a way that it looks like pixie dust were falling from the sky.

So can you see the parade from the viewing area for the dessert post party? do they let you in the viewing area before 9?

We went last Monday and did the after-party in the garden. We checked in about 8:50 and they let us go right over to the garden. While you couldn't really see the street dancers/waver-of-flag performers (or whatever they're called) that well, we had a fabulous view of the floats. The floats are REALLY tall - I think being a little further away gives you an advantage to standing curbside. I can't stress enough how uncrowded and comfortable it was in the garden - making for such a pleasant, care-free experience. The parade helps kill the time now that the fireworks aren't until 10. It all went so quickly - parade, fireworks, then treats. We left right as the 11 PM parade was starting so was able to view some of it again while walking out. (This time getting to see the flag wavers.) We missed the crowds leaving after the fireworks and hopped right on a waiting resort launch. I have been making party reservations for years but always canceled thinking it wasn't our "thing". Glad we finally did it and will never do it any other way now.

So have a trip coming up in like 2 weeks and trying to schedule out our night at Magic Kingdom. I currently have a reservation for the pre-fireworks dessert party at 7:30. Is it feasible to check in for the dessert party, move to the garden at 8 pm to watch the starlight parade when that begins (not sure what the view is like from the garden to the parade route), and then go back to the party/garden for when the fireworks begin?

Trying to see if its feasible to kill two birds with one stone.

Your question has been merged with a recent thread with a lot of helpful information about this topic.

I am in need of some info for the dessert party and parade please. I have done treats & seats a couple years ago once and there was of course no nighttime parade then. My DD and I loved the seats though and had plenty of time for snacking, drinking and relaxing before the fireworks started.

For this trip there are four of us and the treats & seats seems to already be booked up but openings for pre or post are available.
Timing wise we'd like to have plenty of time for snacks, drinks and relaxing again before or after we see the fireworks. And so I don't know which one is better for us. I worry we'd be in a hurry to get a viewing spot if we did the pre.

With that said it would also be great to catch the parade from the area as much as it can be seen anyway. We are going the last week of Oct so lots of Halloween parties that week so we know it will be packed for the very limited "regular" nights.

There are no nighttime parade hours posted yet, but fireworks are scheduled for 9pm so I'm thinking maybe 8 & 10 for the parade. who knows. LOL
When I found times to reserve for the post fireworks party it says 8pm. Can someone explain that to me please? We'd arrive at 8pm then wait in the grass area for fireworks to start at 9pm and then after would go for our snacks? I just can't get a feel for the timing of how the evening would go and I'm not sure I want to pay that much to stand around for an hour waiting for the fireworks.
thanks for any help.
