Has anyone heard the reason yet for the ferries being closed down tonight? All evacuated and steered to busses or monorail. We are really hoping it isn’t a tragedy at this point, but thinking it doesn’t look good...

This was our guess based on other cues- amount of security, small boats in ferry path, no moving ferries, but also can’t confirm

Agreed! Sitting on the benches. Waiting for time/ water to pass. Fell out the window? I am very happy that she's alright. Holy Cow! Haven't seen that in 30 years of going to the parks.

We got to the park about the same time it closed. I wondered why so many were being sent to buses

she could not have just fallen out. You can’t do that without helping it along

We were caught up in the mess trying to leave MK around 7:30pm. Makes you appreciate how it takes every mode of transportation to get people out of MK after fireworks on a day like 12/30 and when a big one like ALL boats going down happens (a very rare occurrence when weather isn’t involved), pack your patience.

We heard rumblings about what happened through the crowd as well, hope everyone is OK.

If I had known, I would have stayed in the MK for more dance party! I thought I’d be good around an hour post fireworks! Sometimes Disney travel just doesn’t go your way.

Yeah. It was really bad Christmas night. We had to cross through the bus to ttc crowd to reach our bus. It was nuts

It’s pretty crazy. When the Ferry is not an option (obviously very rare) there’s just no way buses can keep up. They had everyone going to bus stop 34 and it was a massive sea of people. When we were there it was as/before they were mobilizing buses. One of those moments in Disney time when things escalate very quickly.
