Magic Kingdom Fastpassing, morning vs. afternoon?

So I'm torn with how to approach fastpasses for Magic Kingdom. Obviously we're going with the easy picks for our first 3, Mine Train-Peter Pan-Another headliner. But should we be planning them in the morning to continue to pick up fastpasses throughout the day?

Or would they be better served in the afternoon during hot weather (late August, early Sept trip).

Or should I shoot to go for somewhere in the middle (late morning, early afternoon).

I realize the first two hours they shouldn't be needed, but curious on how many fastpasses we could rack up if we used them up early (I also understand that headlines will likely be gone).

It's easier at the other parks as it doesn't seem as beneficial getting 4th fastpasses, so i'll likely do those rides in the afternoon, but MK just seems like it could be beneficial to score fastpasses early and often throughout the day.

Any suggestions?

I do mine as early as possible so that we can utilize additional Fastpasses throughout the day. Assuming we arrive at or near rope drop, if the wait time in the standby line is short then we'll ride via the standby line and then head directly back for our Fastpass.

We are doing most of ours after our midday breaks and will do standby in the AM. But if you aren't doing breaks, starting them around 11am is a good plan.

We just returned from our trip. We spend May 31 at Magic Kingdom. We were there at rope drop. We started at Jungle Cruise, then Magic Carpet Ride, then Pirates, then we went to Thunder Mountain and had a short wait. We fast passed splash, then thunder again, and Buzz. We were able to fast pass 8 rides that day --We rode almost everything we wanted that day with fast passes. We did not try for mine train, b/c we had fp the next day for that.
