Does anyone have any ideas what it will be like 12/26? Extremely crowded or not too bad? Has anyone been the day after Christmas in previous years?

We were there last year and I was relatively surprised at how manageable the crowds were - especially in the morning. Obviously using Fast Pass is always helpful, but we pretty much walked on everything in Tomorrowland.

It will be extremely crowded and will probably close in the morning by 10AM (or earlier).

I have a co-worker that is going to MK with her DD (3) and mother on Christmas Eve day and Christmas Day. This is their first trip to WDW. She just told me about her trip last Friday at work. I felt bad telling her the park was going to be super crowded and would probably close by mid-morning due to capacity crowds. I'll be interested to hear how things went. At least she's taking her DD to the Princess Tea at the GF.

I just saw this on the Anita Answer section of the AllEars site:

We will be visiting my mother in Orlando the week of Christmas, and plan to take one day to go to Magic Kingdom. My question is whether the Magic Kingdom is less busy on Christmas Day than other days that week?

Hi Jenni!

I'm sorry to have to tell you this, but you picked the absolute busiest week of the year to visit the Magic Kingdom. The park almost always reaches capacity by 11:00 a.m. every day of that week, so if you're planning on getting in at all, you'd better get there before the park opens. If you're in the area on December 24, you may have a marginally better chance of smaller crowds than you will have between Christmas Day and New Year's Day, when they are at their peak for the year.

Hi, We were there last year the day after Christmas...

FYI....BAD WEEK............ We did not get to ride anything except for the Tomorrow Land Transit. We waited 45min to get on it.... The crowds were aweful. You could forget Buzz. The line was at 90min, and fast passes were gone. We did not spend much time at the MK last year. We found MGM to be better in the mornings, and Epcot for the evenings. Hope this helps, and I hope the crowds are better for you all this year! :wizard:

We are visiting WDW next year 12/26/06 (Boxing Day Bank Holiday in England) through to 01/09/07 and would therefore be interested to hear anyone who goes this year (or has been in previous years) at this times experiences.

We were of the understanding that it would be really busy until New Years day and then quieten off dramatically in the first week of january.

Last year it was extremely busy. They closed the park before noon on the 25, 26 and I think the 27th as well. I don't think the park closed the 28th, 29th or 30th though. MK is usually shoulder to shoulder people and you may not be able to get through certain areas if a parade or show is going on.

When the parks close for capacity as written above, do they reopen in the eveninh or whenever capacity goes down. Also, if you are in the parks in the morning and leave can you get back in if you return and the parks are at capacity. (we will be the 12/26-1/1)
