We have an 8:40 breakfast reservation at Boma (never been is it good?) and a lunch reservation at 1:25 at Liberty Tree Tavern on Christmas Day. I realize the crowds will be insane but our only objective is to eat some turkey and watch the parade which we have FP's for. Do you think we will be able to get into Magic Kingdom on the 25th after breakfast? We have been during the Christmas season just never on Christmas Day. Thanks...

I probably wouldn't be comfortable risking it. It's at high risk of closing. But maybe others can chime in and give a better idea of what time it tends to close when it does.

I'd probably try to do Boma another day and get to the MK uber early to do some attractions before it gets crazy busy, then scoot out after lunch and the parade.

We have gone on two Christmas week vacations including just last year. We avoid any park on Christmas day so as we were headed to DTD for DD's BBB appointment and we were coming from BLT we saw MK closed to incoming traffic and that was around 11:00 am. All these cars were being directed through the parking fee gate and then directed to turn around. Many were pulled over to talk to others in their group in other cars as to see what to do I'm sure.

Now I know there are different level of closings so I don't know if this was a full closing or just that the MK parking lot was filled and they were directing people to Epcot to park and take the monorail over. Also I believe Disney resort guests coming by Disney transit can still get in until the park is fully closed.

However with a later lunch you are chancing it to get in and if you are able to make sure you give yourself plenty of time to make the trek into the park with the mobs of people.

There certainly are many other places serving turkey dinners for Christmas if that is what you are after and the parade will be there other days as well all through the Christmas season!

I wouldn't chance it. MK is usually in some phase of closing by 10:30am on Christmas Day and reopens to all guests sometime in the afternoon. If you're staying on Disney property you can take a bus from the resort to the park as resort guests are allowed to enter as long as the park isn't at Phase 4 (closed to all).

I've only been to Epcot on Christmas day, twice.
It's dead space until after noon. Then the crowd grows and grows until it's packed by the evening.

Are you staying in a deluxe resort? Could you splurge on room service for breakfast instead of going to Boma? And then head to MK?

You are absolutely smart to have ADRs for those busy days during Christmas. It's a pain to deal with CS places and impossible to get a walk-in anywhere.

I have the same dilemma fishhunter.

We have LTT booked for Christmas Day at 1:30pm. My family wants to sleep in on Dec. 25 and stroll into the MK at noon. :rotfl:

I told them if they want turkey, to choose rope drop.

My advice is to cancel one or the other.

It's risky. Like other posters had said it will be the most crowded day you will ever see in your life. My advice any other day this would be fine but on Christmas day no way. Pick one or the other. I even advice against staying at your hotel. Eat early and get your tush to the park. Or go to Boma and cancel LTT and do something else that day. Keep in mind it's not just the crowds in the park but the masses trying to get into the park.

Christmas Day is probably the only day of the year I'd advise that you need to get to MK really early. Maybe not rope drop, but close.

Personally, I'd probably drop the Boma breakfast and get myself to the MK.

That being said, yes, the Boma breakfast is really good. I think its one of the better breakfasts at Disney. If you can, I would try to get there another morning...I wouldn't think breakfast ADR's would be that tough a ticket...but I haven't tried over the Christmas holidays.

I agree with this...:wizard:
