The bathrooms in the Magic Kingdom are gross. The smell like outhouses and are very dirty. I thought I was at six flags instead of Disney. This is part of what I par for. I have come to expect a clean bathtroom. I must say that Animal Kingdom!s bathrooms are pretty clean. You could tell they were working hard

Did you notify a CM about it? I'm assuming it was one bathroom and not every bathroom in the entire MK. They clean them regularly and I've never seen anything too horrible, but that's not to say it can't happen, but they can't clean it immediately if they aren't aware it's dirty.

Can you be more specific as "gross" means one thing to one person and something completely different to another. For example, having toilet paper on the floor in a bathroom is not "gross" to me as it happens a lot in every bathroom in the world, including my own when a piece falls and I don't pick it up or don't see it. But that could be "gross" to someone else.

Smelling like an outhouse could mean a lot of different things but, for me, a bathroom can smell a bit "ripe" if someone before me had to use the bathroom for what it was intended. And I have smelled true outhouses and the ripe old "pit toilets" all along the Pennsylvania interstate system from the 70s so my nose is primed for a lot more than others.

I hope you reported it to someone so they could fix it! I didn't have an issue with the bathrooms when I was there, but I wasn't really paying attention either. It was just in and out and back to fun

They smelled, some weren't flushing and stuff all over the floor. All of the bathrooms in MK. Tangled, circus, splash mountain, cosmic rays, and front of park. They were nasty.

In many trips, I've never had an issue with a bathroom at WDW - MK or otherwise. I don't doubt that they are not always pristine, but I would hate for anyone who has never been to WDW to read this thread and assume bathrooms are typically disgusting. Couldn't be further from the truth in my experience.

I've encountered mostly clean bathrooms throughout Disney World. However, I've also entered into some foul ones too. I find the worst offenders are the bathrooms in Fantasyland in MK and the bathrooms in Morocco in Epcot. Not sure why, but those are usually the ones that need some extra and more frequent cleanings.

Assuming we're talking about women's bathrooms here. As women's bathrooms tend to be far worse than men's.

As far as men's bathrooms though, since I can only speak on those lol..Disney does a good job at keeping them clean and nice. We go about once a month and I've never been in a bathroom yet and thought about it being gross.

Fun fact: best bathrooms I've found in all of the Disney parks is the new ones by the Festival of the Lion King. Hardly ever used since their not on the main path. And the A/C in there feels great when it's hot out

Everyone should carry a bag of pixie dust with them, so if they come across a dirty restroom, they can sprinkle some pixie dust on the offending areas and they'll just go away, like magic! pixiedust:

Or, maybe it would be more effective to sprinkle that dust on the slobs that create the mess and make them go away? Because it's all their fault, right?

Just curious. Was this today? Or sometime last week? With the high crowds last week, I would imagine the bathrooms get messier faster and may be a little harder to keep up with cleaning. In my experience, Disney does a decent job at keeping their bathrooms clean though I have encountered some more messy than others. I usually try not to point all the blame at Disney though, since the bathrooms are typically in good condition. Unfortunately, there are also a lot of messy, inconsiderate people who add to the mess.

I was there this past Tuesday and Wednesday. I did walk into one bathroom that was really messy - stuff all over the floor and a few stalls clogged ... Not sure what happened there! I remember thinking "Wow! I can't believe this bathroom is in the magic kingdom". It was the only one like that - the rest were fine.

This was in the last week. The bathrooms in the other parks besides MK were kept very clean.

I would say I run into at least one trashed out bathroom on every trip .....what's' the big deal :confused3 ? Sometimes the timing is such that a ride or show lets out and the bathroom gets trashed and the CM just hasn't been back to that restroom yet. The CM's generally aren't camped in the john for their entire shift, they usually have other responsibilities in the near vicinity. I've yet to go to any park in the last ten years where every restroom was "gross." But like a prior poster pointed out, peoples definitions of good/bad are usually widespread.

OP, did you complain at the time? If you didn't bring it to anyone's attention, then I don't see the point in posting. The bathrooms are not permanently messy, or even messy most of the time. What you experienced is not the norm.

Unfortunately people can be slobs. Where I work we share a bathroom with the public, so I know for a fact they can clean it, and a few minutes later some slob(s) can trash it. Hopefully you brought it to the attention of the CMs working in the park so they could address the problem. No, you shouldn't have to, but sometimes you need to.

People shouldn't have to be told to flush toilets either, but until Disney has a CM stationed at every bathroom stall, some people won't and the rest of us will have to do it for them. It is gross. But I blame the piggy guests more than I do Disney. It is sad that people can't take care of a basic body function without making a mess.

I'm assuming with conditions this awful, you reported this. It's the only way things get taken care of. I don't care how busy or crowded the parks are and while I'm disgusted in general with so many people that are just slobs, it's Disney's job to keep the bathrooms in decent condition. If they aren't it needs to be reported, that is, if your point is to see the conditions improve.

The worst bathroom I ever went into at WDW was in Epcot- I reported it. It's not something I run into often and never one as bad as you describe.

If you know people are slobs.... and I know people are slobs...... then Disney knows that people are slobs. And should staff accordingly.

I have to say, I absolutely HATE public restrooms... I'd rather hold it than use them in the parks but sometimes you have to go. There is 1 restroom that sticks out in my mind as being flat out disgusting and it's the restrooms at Hoop Dee Doo Revue. All 3 times going there and using them, we were all grossed out. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. Toilet paper all over the floors, the floors wet and the toilets all backed up like they weren't flushed and the smell was just horrible. I've never seen the restrooms in the parks bad at all and not even close to what I experienced at HDDR. They do a prett good job keeping up with them all day with thousands of people using them each day.
