Magic Kingdom Bathrooms - GROSS

Feces smeared on the wall and toilet paper holder at MK and AK was pretty darn gross. I bring my own wipes now because I almost touched someone's filth when I went to reach for the tp.

OP here and I had to come back and post. I just got back from a 10 day trip and I am happy to report that I did not run into ONE bathroom that was disgusting. I was dreading take my daughter to the bathroom on this trip because she still needs help in the stalls and at 5, does not seem to see a problem with germs. But like I said, I was thrilled to find that most if not all bathrooms were pretty spotless.

They really, really need to hire more staff. But labor costs are always the first place big companies look to save money.

Given the daily volume of its guests and the price of its daily admissions, I cannot think of any excuse for Walt Disney World to staff any less than 1 - 2 restroom attendants / cast members in each and every of its public restrooms - all day and evening / every day and evening.

As for me and mine, we have never encountered a WDW restroom that was anything other than sparkling clean. And we have often (but, in the rush of things, not always) left a small gratuity with the cast member(s) who had made (or were making) it so. Note: The very first permanent cleaning task that Mother assigned me was ... the bathroom.

I should also note that we have not visited WDW during the past twelve years.

I'm usually a bathroom snob, yes once had to change hotels because bathroom was too dirty, this was when I was way younger/ I've seen gross bathrooms at Disney, but for most part they have been clean enough for me

We were at WDW this past June and I only found 1 bathroom that wasn't clean- and a CM came in right behind me to clean.

Nothing to complain about regarding cleanliness as far as I saw.

They definitely happen. I can look past paper on the floor but an unflushed toilet or pee all over the seat grosses me out. See it all the time. I don't think the self flush keeps it cleaner. Because they don't always work and people just leave them. I had a friend tell me one time that hers wouldn't flush. I said did you push the button? She said I'm not touching it! I said get a piece of toilet paper and hit the button!

How strange- I rarely go in one that it isn't either obviously just cleaned or in the process of being cleaned. I'm a neat freak and some place with dirty bathrooms would promptly get crossed off my list of places to go. Had a CM not been right behind me, I would've reported the one dirty bathroom we saw.

I would say I run into at least one trashed out bathroom on every trip .....what's' the big deal ? Sometimes the timing is such that a ride or show lets out and the bathroom gets trashed and the CM just hasn't been back to that restroom yet. The CM's generally aren't camped in the john for their entire shift, they usually have other responsibilities in the near vicinity. I've yet to go to any park in the last ten years where every restroom was "gross." But like a prior poster pointed out, peoples definitions of good/bad are usually widespread.

IMO this is the best response to this. First you have to remember the point of the shows or rides letting out. I have never run into a "gross" bathroom at Disney. Now if you wanna go see a "gross" bathroom go to Kings Island in Cincinnati, Ohio. But point being some days the cast members just can't keep up. It happens.
