Magic Kingdom After Hours while you're already in the park

Did some searching on this topic but couldn't find anything.

There's an after hours ticketed event at Magic Kingdom (8pm-11pm) on the same night we are eating at Be Our Guest @ 6:30pm. If our dinner ends around 8pm and the park is now closed (open only to After Hours participants), will we be allowed to walk around the park without being asked to leave? Do Cast Members check for tickets while you're walking around? We don't want to go on any rides, just casually stroll and enjoy the park during the nighttime.

I haven't done after hours yet but I'm guessing it works just like the Christmas and Halloween parties and you'll be "guided" to the exit.

There are very few people at the after hour events and having attended several of them now, I know they aggressively check for wrist bands. You won’t be allowed to stay. There’s really nothing to do if you aren’t riding and depending on which park, sections that don’t have rides will be blocked off to everyone. If you want to enjoy walking around the park after closing, you’ll have to buy a ticket to do it.
