Magic Kingdom After Hours coming back (DAH); Reviews: Page 18 >>

I did this event last year and had so much fun this year I was leaving march 1 so I did it I called got my reservation extend to march 3 then bought the DAH ticket for the 2 now I hope they keep the new buss thing so that I can hope parks easer

Jumping in here, I agree they are not modifying any hours to make this event happen. But they have been steadily reducing hours (both regular operating and EMH) over the last few years.
Not disagreeing with that at all. And the key being, last few years, well before this event came about

Dropping in to remind everyone to continue the discussion of DAH - its schedule, hours, pricing, amenities, and projected capacity - in a friendly, non-argumentative manner.

DAH occurs after MK's regular park hours end for the evening. Discussion of MK's hours in years past can take place on TP Community.

well we went ahead and bought ours, as we are only over for a week and didn't plan on Disney at all on this trip. The chance to be in the park and hopefully have a very quiet magical 3 hours.

last year it was very quiet ( not that many people were there) I pretty much walked on to every ride. if you get there at 7 and have a good touring plane you should be able to do every ride there.

My mom, sister, and myself did Magic Kingdom After Hours back in May; honestly it was one of the best, and most fun trips to Magic Kingdom we ever did. With every ride basically being a walk on, and snacks available throughout the night; in addition to at times feeling like you had parts of the park to yourself. It was absolutely amazing and magical. We are going back for a repeat of fun on March 9th :).

Back "by popular demand" lol ok Disney. If i recall they were fighting to just give away half off tickets

It's almost half price for AP holders compared to what I paid when I went last year. I paid $149 plus tax, now AP holders are paying $89 plus tax. I would definitely do it again.

We are tempted by this as we are only in Orlando for a week in Feb, for those that did it last time, was there transportation back to the TTC after the event. We will be staying off site close to AK, so wonder whether to park up or jump a cab there and back.

Yes. When I left the park at the end of it last April, about 20 minutes after the 'end' there were buses right at the front of the loop, all lined up and there was a CM there asking where everyone was going and pointing us toward the appropriate bus. The bus I was on was for Pop and AOA, and I was the only person on the bus. I'm sure there was transport to the TTC, because Disney always makes sure people get back where they are going.

@AngiTN and @mom2rtk woukd you ladies mind giving a recap of which rides you were able to squeeze in during the event (and really just during the extra 3 hours)? As empty as it sounds like it was, sounds like your experience would be close to best-case scenario. It sounds like a pretty good deal if it were announced far enough out to make plans for it (and if we hadn't just gotten back, those later dates would be almost do-able). Thanks!!

I was there the first night this event was held in April. I went back and found my post from that night, and here was my report:

I rode 5 rides between 9-11 pm.
After 11, I rode 15 rides (several were repeats, including 4 on BTMrr Without getting off), I saw 2 princesses, drank 3 beverages and ate 3 ice creams. Every ride was walk on, including 7 dwarfs at 11:30pm, and I was the only person on the bus back to pop at 2:20am. More tomorrow, I need some sleep now.

When I rode Astro Orbiter (my last ride of the night), I rode it two times, and I was the only person on the ride.

My aunt just moved to the Tampa area and I intend to visit her over the winter sometime, then spend a couple of solo days at WDW. Now that I know this event is happening again, I think I'm going to have to time my visit to Tampa specifically to coincide with this.

If my MIL has an annual pass, but would be the one to stay back with the littles, can she still purchase tickets for this for the rest of us and not come in with us?

Well, I've read all 7 pages of this thread, and I can see how those who get to ride the rides they love over and over and over would love this. I get that.
But, for ME, my hands hurt after 2 trips through Buzz, and Space Mountain is a one and done for me. I love the Haunted Mansion, but once is enough to keep the magic alive for me, as it is for all the other rides/attractions that I love. So, I guess that riding over and over and over again is not a draw for me. It would get "old" pretty quick and some of the magic would be lost for ME, so no flames. I think this would work for those who stay off site or only have a limited amount of time and don't want to wander in the daytime and take in the ambience of the park. But personally I would risk losing some of the magic doing rides repeatedly just because I could. It will be interesting to see if this works for the second time around?

For some reason, there is no like button available for this post. What's up with that????????

Hmm. We're going to be there first week of March and had planned to do MK on March 2nd. Contemplating this but obviously would not rather spend an extra $300ish CDN for 3 people. But it's still tempting!

I'm also curious about this. A PP purchased the tickets at the passholder rate over the phone and was told that the AP would need to be shown when checking in for the event. If this is like other hard ticket events, though, Disney might not perform that verification.

For MNSSHP two months ago, neither my daughter nor I had to show an AP - just the event tickets, which I purchased at the passholder rate on the WDW website with my AP credential. The party tickets were assigned to two other non-AP holder profiles on my account for FP+ purposes, though, so my AP wouldn't have shown up on the CM's screen at check-in. I would think that an AP holder could also purchase these DAH tickets for other people, and that those people would not need the AP holder present to enter the event as long as the ticket is assigned to them.

I've never had to show my AP when entering any event even when I got an AP discount for the ticket. I guess they could ask at any time but I feel safe saying they aren't going to ask

I am definitely planning to redo this event. This was one of the best hard tickets I have ever done at Disney! The CMs even looked like they were happy to be there having a good time and you don't see that a lot anymore. I am a night person so this is right up my alley. I wish they would try out some events with even later hours, I know- not going to happen but there is a lot of night owls or people that work the graveyard shift that this would work for.
