Can gift cards be used to purchase magic keys? Assuming we eventually are able to purchase them

Yes. You can use up to one gift card online per transaction. On the Disney gift card site you can merge funds together up to $1,000 on a card. Gift cards can’t be used with monthly payment plans online, but you can call after to pay down the later payments with gift cards or you have to go to a ticket window to apply it to a down payment.

Both...when at DW if we were running low I would get an online digital gift card for $500 save 5% and then transfer the digital to the physical card I had on me.

The higher denominations ($500 is the highest) I couldn't get in store.

Well, the main site is working again, but the Magic Key Passes link takes you back to the old page that was up through this morning saying pass sales will resume today.

Yea it appears they haven't started sales yet. The real question is how long will the wait be? What's the over/under on 8hrs?

I can't imagine they delay starting the actual sale by more than an hour, unless there's a huge meltdown going on the site because of the number of users trying to refresh...

Well, it DID say "Magic Key pass sales will begin no earlier than 9:00 AM Pacific Time." They never gave a "no later than" time...LOL

That's a great idea to call and use it to pay it down. I didn't think about that.

It won’t lower your current payment but it would remove later payments in the plan so it ends earlier.

The link to the Queue is now available on main site at bottom of Magic Key page. I think we are getting closer to actually launching sales.

I still think virtual queue will be an average 6-8 hr wait today. Hopefully ours won't be as long.

Remember if you are planning on doing the payment plan as a Socal Local you have to login to your account before you add the passes to your basket and your address must be tied to your account already and show a local address.

I guess it's hard to be more precise than that given people shop at different speeds when they get through.

They ARE allowing more than one person at a time to make their purchase though...right?

That's what mine says too, I got in around 9:20am
