I will be activating my Magic Key pass on an upcoming stay next month. I have 3 DL trips planned—Nov, Dec, and Jan. I typically do not book vacations so close to one another but I am traveling with different groups and having special celebrations. My concern is that I have a pass that allows 6 reservations and I’m worried about being able to make theme park reservations MLK weekend since it is both a holiday weekend and Disneyland Half Marathon. Because I assumed December would be the busiest and most difficult time to secure theme park reservations, I made sure to make reservations for the 4 days I will be there. This meant I cut my park visits for next month short and I’m only visiting the park for 2 days next month. This also means I will not be able to make my theme park reservations for my MLK trip when they open next weekend. I’m considering canceling 2 theme park reservations from my December trip so I free up my allotment to book MLK weekend. Then after I scan in on my 1st and 2nd days at the parks next month for my November trip, cross my fingers and try to make those December theme park reservations again.
Do you think is an unwise decision? Should I just keep my theme park reservations as they are now and wait until I scan my pass for my November trip next month and then try to make my MLK weekend reservations? I heard DLR hotel guests are usually able to make theme park reservations since the reservations come from a different pool but my stays on property will be DVC point stays not cash so I don’t know if they treat the DVC stays the same way way.
Thank you for your advice!
