Magic Key reservation question

Does anyone know if you can show up without a reservation and if there is availability be granted entrance? I have an upcoming trip where I have all 4 of my days reserved, but know I may be itching to stop by on my arrival night. Want to temper my expectations and plan accordingly. The rooftop pool and bar at my hotel is looking promising, but I know being so close I will be tempted! LOL

You can make a same day reservation if there is availability. You can make a reservation while standing outside the gates. But you do need a reservation to go in.

Gotcha - so I’d have to release one I already had, then make a new one and hope its still available. Probably not worth the risk… unless I could immediately make a reservation after scanning through the gates.

I think it's pretty fast, I haven't timed it but I know my next "open" slot has allowed me to book within a couple hours after scanning in.

For example if I had 6 days reserved on Dream Key- scanned into park for visit and then it allowed me to book another day fairly quickly.

I’ll have to see what the reservations are looking like when I arrive. If there’s still availability for one of my dates I may chance it. Of course I’ll chance it, what am I thinking!?!
