Magic Key Glitches?

Weird observations w/ my Dream Key. Been here all weekend and at many retail spots at the hotel and parks they’ve had to scan my key multiple times for it to “go through”.

The CM at the GCH gift shop scanned a bunch of times and said it had been a problem for “awhile” but didn’t know what the issue was.

This morning at Storytellers, I told our server I had a Key and she brought the bill. I asked if she needed to scan it and she said “we don’t even bother anymore.” She never even looked at my key! Fortunately I did get the full discount. (Interestingly, my receipt said ‘Club 33 Discount 15%’).

Doesn’t impact my trip or anything. I just find it curious and wonder what’s going on.

I know some places like Lamplight Lounge would ask us to write the Magic Key number on the bill rather than even bother with attempting to scan. I don't know what the issue is but I know it has been an issue.

The physical cards worked so much better than this.

I had the same thing happen to me at GCH back in Sept. Server kept trying to scan my Believe key and it didn’t scan so she just gave me the bigger Club 33 discount.

Was at Carnation Café the other day. The server asked us to write down our Magic Key acct number so they could manually enter it. It was scanned successfully at the Magic Key Terrace, however.
