The kids know about the Disney World trip next year, but not about the cruise in January. Although some people in my family have slipped in front of them, which goes right over DD7's head. Gotta love how oblivious they are at that age
. However, I think my DS14 more or less knows. He had a not so great report card and he's in high school. So, I sat him down and told him we are planning a trip (didn't tell him its a DCL cruise), and if he has any chance of going he'd better bring up his grades or they won't let me take him out of school for 3 days. But, that combined with the slips of some
, I suspect he's got a pretty good idea

I think our kids are still unaware of our trip. Still counting on it being a Christmas "gift".
That's great that you now get a Disney (land) trip too. I'm sure that will make for some fabulous memories for everyone.
Last summer we had the "extended family" vacation to Disney world.
DMiL, 2 DSiLs, DBiL, 3 nieces, and our family of 4. It was the first trip for the nieces and I was elected to plan it all.
I absolutely stressed myself out, because I wanted everyone to love Disney World as much as I do. Ultimately I figured out that each family needed to go where they wanted, when they wanted. It is just hard to move that many people at one time.
If anything when you have a group of kiddos you learn to go with the flow
There were some "tense" moments, but everyone is glad we went. The kids still talk about everything we did while we were there. The memories of that trip will stay with out kids for life and that is really what matters. Have fun with the planning, but don't stress like me

I think we are going to do it as it seems like an AWESOME deal. I know there are a lot of open rooms but I would rather pay and pick my rooms than get a free upgrade and the chance of a bad location. Anyone else get a call??

. I hope we don't regret it. Oh well, if it's noisy I'll just have to drink more during the day!
You are in my thoughts.
I hope I didn't recognize the caller ID and ignored the phone.
It was such a surprise when we got our cruise documents. It was the best room, easy to get to everywhere and the secret stairs let right to Topsiders/Beach Blanket (can never remember what it is on either ship). The down side was very little exercise from climbing stairs all day like when we were on deck 1.
I'm not counting on lightning hitting twice.

I didn't know they don't have rooms with trunks and how did you find out yours didn't have one? Does that mean you have less storage or what is the different storage arrangement? I was just thrilled when last we sailed on the Magic and I learned we could store the suitcases under the bed!
I laughed so hard!
