Here is another bow shot from 2008.

IMG_2035.jpg

I remember being quite surprised when we pulled in bow first. Up to that point i didn't even know that the magic could park that way at CC as I'd always read that she parked stern first. So I won't mind at all watching her go in that way this time. Be fun to see it i think. We always watched the dockings when possible.

:goodvibes awww...these pictures are sooo inviting! We were talking about it today over lunch with about 10 friends. Some of our friends said they cruise ALL the time, so I asked about Disney. They'd never been on a Disney cruise, and then I told them about this meet thread, and they'd never heard of such! I just LOVE:lovestruc: disboards! They wanted to know more and to be honest, for a second, I thought about keeping it to myself:cutie:! But I shared!!! I told them all about y'all...(lol, no worries) and they were amazed that such a thing existed. Pretty cool huh?

For those who fly SouthWest, the schedule is now out until November. The prices are much higher than prior years. :scared1::scared1: I usually get $900 for 4 of us. This year $1,285 :scared1::scared1:

I know Dan!!! Airtran is out now and our flights for 5 are usually under $1000, but when I checked this morning...$360 a piece! Wonder if it's just this way for right now, or if they'll come down at all this year?:confused3

We already have our flights (thanks to the relatives for frequent flying ), but when I checked to see their worth....WOW!

And I checked into flights into the Washington DC area for April...astounding $442 per person...OUCH!

Kinda quiet around here. Time for another shameless picture bump.

Magic at CC. The little boats in front say parasailing so this is most likely where you have to go for this excusion.
IMG_1948-1.jpg

Well it looks like I won't have to go very far to get to the parasailing boats. :lmao: I can't believe we are almost in the 20's before leaving!!! Yeah!
I heard that most airlines were raising their prices because of the possibility of gas prices going up so much. Then again they were talking about the oil prices not going up because of Japan so who knows? We are also supposed to be using some of our reserves too. Our prices on gas stayed the same all weekend here and I am hoping they may actually level out for awhile. I feel bad for you guys having to buy airfare. Fingers crossed for you..

I definitely agree about the price of fuel! On another thread, someone asked or thought they might impose a FSC to cruise ships. I certainly hope not! And then someone else said Fl mandated a law that they couldn't do that once you've already got it booked. Sure hope their right!

Just glad we've already got the flights, rental car and the cruise booked! Here's hoping for NO gas (oops...'fuel') surprises!:goodvibes

Great pictures of the magic I wish we was going this Saturday it's freezing here been snowing again over the weekend at least it's not lying. Roll on summer:cheer2:

Out of curiosity I priced fares for me and DH. Using the lowest fares still comes to $600 for the 2 of us. A bit higher than I would have thought. So now i have a comparison to driving and staying in hotels instead of flying.

Hey Maureen! Just fyi, I was checking airlines this afternoon and saw where you could actually fly out of Williamsburg for 228 rt. Is that a good deal for y'all? I know it won't last long, and I didn't know how far out Williamsburg is from Chesapeake. Just thought it sounded like a good deal!:goodvibes

Oh its a good deal. Williamsburg/Newport News is about an hour from us. When we factor everything in though driving is how we want to go. Might save money doing it or might not. But the added vacation time and aggravation factor are what seals it for us in driving.

Thanks for looking:thumbsup2

Oh, I understand! I wasn't sure how close you were to Williamsburg! I used to live in Waynesboro before moving south, so I didn't know how close you were! And I was just on there checking on other flights for some others, so I wondered!
And I used to LOVE to fly...but hearing all these TSA stories makes me a little uncomfortable. Hear it can be 'nerve wracking' to say the least. But we don't fly but maybe once a year so we haven't had the pleasure (yet) of all that goes on! Though my hairdresser told me he had a 'pat' down Friday due to the fact he left his wallet in his pants. Poor guy..I won't leave anything on me if that's what I have to look forward to!

This will be us in 30 weeks. :cool1:

The Magic in St Maarten 3-15-11

:thumbsup2 And am I so glad!!! The weather here has been miserable. 44 degrees and nothing but gloomy and wet! Come on October! And thanks again Dan...keep them coming!:goodvibes

:goodvibesI re-booked on my Magic 5-12 cruise:goodvibes:I thought my husband and I had talked about taking the week of Columbus day for a vacation. (When I say "I thought" what I really mean is "there is no doubt in my mind")rolleyes:. I called my guy from Cozumel and told him I re-booked. To say he is unhappy would be an understatement. He picked me up from the airport and pretty much asked nothing about my trip which is completely out of the ordinary for him. He's warming to the idea and I just signed up for Rapid Rewards with Southwest so hopefully the airfare will be covered plus we got $200 OBC from Disney and another $200 from disney unlimited.
I am beyond excited but its been a while since I've been in charge of the arrangements so sort of nervous too - my sister is a disney fanatic and always takes care of the arrangements and I just write her a check.
Any suggestions on how to warm the guy to the plan? We don't have kids and he doesn't seem to get why we are going on Disney.
Tried to figure out the smile but - WOW that's alot of work!

:welcome: aboard the Magic in Paradise cruise to the Eastern Caribbean. We have several DCL veterans here on this thread so if you have any questions, please do not hestiate to ask.

:thumbsup2YAY!!!! And Welcome!!! This is our first Disney Cruise and we are SO excited! This thread and the people on it are a great source of information for sure!
And from what I've read there really are alot of couples who come without kids, so you'll both have a blast!

:cheer2: And can I just shout: 3 MORE DAYS AND WE'RE UNDER 30 WEEKS!!!!:cheer2:

Can't wait until Dan gives us the Big one on Saturday!!! Hope your weeks are going great! :goodvibes

Hey Maureen. I was just checking our spreadsheet and I have a couple corrections. According to our ressie we are in 11B. We are also staying at the MCO Hyatt. Also do we have an updated list of FE exchange # of people?:confused3 Just wondering. I need to start working on that. Thanks for doing all that for us too.:worship:

I've been thinking about this myself. I'll send out the link for FE tomorrow. I worked today and then had a meeting I have every Weds. And I'll also throw out some questions I've been thinking about to everybody who's signed up so far. Tomorrow evening sometime it'll go out.

And to anybody who's been thinking about joining our FE exchange the more the merrier:wizard:

:welcome: mrsrotten :welcome:

Check out our first post for current info on all the goings on decided so far. As you firm up your plans just pm or email me your info and I'll add it in:thumbsup2
